The Strange Case of Mr Hyde and His Assistant

I eagerly knocked on the door and when the door opened, I was face to face with Snow white, Prince Charming(David),Henry,Captain Hook(Killian) the wicked witch of the west(Zelena), a blonde woman, and the Evil Queen
“Regina?”I asked with a raised brow.
“Jessica, you made it here too?”Regina asked looking me up and down
“You two know each other?”The girl I was sure to be Emma asked
“Yes, she’s the mad hatter’s little sister. My mother...made her rounds destroying many lives..I am so sorry...I’m sure she never told you that...she’s...in hell”She said making me laugh but I quickly stopped myself, seeing as this was her mom, covering my mouth.
“Sorry, I just...waited too long to hear she was dead..I’d be lying if I said I wish i hadn’t had that chance but that is your mother, so I’m sure on some...level..she loved you..and for that...I’m sorry”I said scratching my cheek
“Don’t feel bad, I’ve heard it a lot. Me included…” Regina said smiling
“Tch, and me”the witch said rolling her eyes
“I’m sorry, I don’t believe we’ve met, I’m Jessica, pleased to meet you”I said smiling as I held my hand out.
“Zelena, charmed”She said shaking my hand and turning on her heel walking off
“Huh?” I was confused by her coldness.
“Don’t mind her, she’s just a grump most of the time”Regina said smirking.
“Hey, I’m Emma Swan. I’m the savior of the town, please come in”She said smiling at me
“Thank you so much Emma”I said as I walked inside her beautiful home
“Your house is gorgeous”I said smiling. Emma smiled back
“Thank you, I poofed it myself”Emma said laughing, making me laugh myself.
“I guess I know who I’ll be going to if I need my own place”I said smiling
“Oh no, I know your taste Jessica, trust me when I say you’d want me to do it. I know you’re into darker things….if I had to pinpoint, I’d say you would like a two story cabin house, with a second level balcony, your own reading area, a spacious backyard, something close to the water, where you can’t be bothered?”Regina asked smirking. My mouth perked a little in amusement
“That was pretty accurate”I said laughing
“Well, yeah Regina would be the person to go to, she’s the one who made this entire town”Snow said smiling at me
“Well I’ll be helping Jeff raise Gracie for now because she’s getting at that age where he’s worried he’s going to miss having that talk with her”I said
“Oh Henry is at that stage too”Charming said laughing
“Grandpa”Henry said embarrassed. I laughed
“Well she’s only 7 but you know..that very important thing us girls have to tell to little girls”I said shrugging
“I never got to have that talk with Emma”Snow said sadly
“It’s alright, I was told in the orphanage. You’re here now”Emma said hugging Snow.
“So...Jeff said you could help me?”I asked with hope. Emma nodded
“Jefferson said you needed help finding a friend that you think came here?Who is he?What’s his name?What’s he look like?”Emma asked me. I was taken back by the sudden questions but took them all in
“I’ve heard from Granny he’s been making quite a mess around here”I said smiling awkwardly
“You don’t mean…”Snow white started off
“You’re joking”Regina said standing up with shock
“Hyde?”David finished in shock
“Uh...yeah”I said smiling nervously
“Why would you be friends with that monster?He locked you,my parents my boyfriend and Regina’s sister up in a cell for days before they broke out and when they came back everyone came with them.. Including you..how do we know you’re not just working for Hyde”Emma asked going on the defense mode. My eyes widened as I looked around the room seeing everyone was suspicious. I giggled awkwardly
“I uh..can tell you guys have been double crossed quite a few times”I said scratching my head
“Yeah, so excuse us if we have a hard time trusting a lass who’s working for the enemy” Killian said. I crossed my arms with a smug look on my face leaning back into the couch.
“Oh okay, this is what we’re doing? Captain Hook?”I asked making him look away in shame.
“Right. Because it’s so impossible to change….you did..from the looks of it anyways… Regina clearly did...why can’t he or I?”I asked but Regina gave me a look
“He literally tried to take over my house...the mayor’s house.Which is me, I’m the mayor. I had him arrested and put away. I threw away the key. Sorry” Regina said smirking making me laugh hysterically. They all exchanged looks. I calmed down wiping a tear away.
“Wow!Even in this world you have a control problem..guess the apple didn’t fall that far..right well it’s clear you guys aren’t going to help me. I’m Hyde’s assistant.I’ve been his assistant for 3 years! He never once locked me up. It was always the guards, or Jekyll.I was looking for both of them, they’re...both...my friends”I said trying to sound as honest as possible.Emma took a step closer to me, looking me up and down with so much suspicion. I stared back at her in her icy blue eyes with no fear.
“You know I have this superpower...where I can tell if someone is lying….but you...I can’t read anything off of you...why is that”Emma asked suspiciously.
“Maybe you’re just not as good as you thought you were. Good day”I said bitterly and turned on my heel
“If Dr. Jekyll is your friend why would he lock you up?”David asked making me stop in my tracks. I turned slowly, my eyes almost glowing with the bitterness in them. David swallowed hard seeing my expression.
“Dr. Jekyll has...put me through series experiments...he’s sweet one minute...but it’s just an act to experiment on me so I’m not surprised I’m abnormal. You guys have the wrong one locked up...and it will be your own downfall”I said biting my lip.
“He has?”Killian asked me with a raised brow
“Yeah..he was working on several serums not just one to defeat Hyde...”I said looking at my feet
“I didn’t..know he was like that”Emma said.
“He’ll probably tell you I’m lying, trying to set you into a trap or something, but you can ask Jeff, I was here with him this entire time, and I only showed up a couple of hours ago...I just wanted to find Hyde and talk to him”I said sadly
“He’s locked up...but maybe we can get her to answer some questions we have...if we get her to ask him”Regina said crossing her arms.
“That’s a good idea...he’s probably got a soft spot for her”Zelena said looking me up and down. I laughed at that.
“Good luck...I have never seen Mr. Hyde falter in any way. He’s always been stone cold and rather stubborn..even after being his assistant for 3 years his walls are pretty hard to bring down. I haven’t really done it yet.”I said scratching my head
“Fine. We let her see him...10 minutes, we lock her in with him until the 10 minutes are up” David said. They all nodded. We drove over to what they called the psych ward, and they took me inside
“Dad take her downstairs and let her in and close the door. Jessica when you bang on the door we’ll let you out but only after making sure he’s not gonna pull anything”Emma said. They nodded and David walked me down
“Don’t try anything funny now”He said looking at me. I smirked
“You’ve been betrayed a lot haven’t you”I said giggling
“Too many to count, so I’m not taking any chances”He said. I nodded rolling my eyes.
“Yes sir officer”I said sarcastically. He looked down at me with annoyance.
“You enjoy getting under people’s skin don’t you?”He asked. I smirked
“I’m the sister of the Mad Hatter and assistant to Mr. Hyde..what do you think?”I asked amused. He closed his eyes inhaling deeply before opening his eyes again as we arrived downstairs to a front desk.
