I smiled hugging her but as I looked into the bar mirror, where the liquor shelf and wine glasses were I saw Wade in a grey hoodie, jeans and no mask. I quickly turned to look but he was gone
“Hey you okay?” V asked as I looked at the mirror and back into the crowd
“Yeah I just thought I saw someone” I said scanning the room
“Who?” She asked but I looked at her and smiled
“When do you go on break?” I asked but she frowned
“Unfortunately not for another 2 hours I just came back from my 15 minute smoke break” she said
“Well then I’ll order a liquid marijuana and speaking of that when you go on break do you have any? It’s been so long since I smoked” I said and we both laughed as she walked around the table and began to make me a liquid marijuana drink.
“I have a doob but that’s all until I get home you should sleep over! I could really use the company” she said
“No girl you should sleep at my place! I just got a new apartment and it’s really big I just got a queen bed with curtains Too so we could watch a movie in total darkness and cuddle” I said winking. She laughed at me
“Cuddles sound amazing but I wanna talk about you! Where’d you go are you cancer free?” She asked handing me my drink. I took a sip and groaned with delight.
“Mmmm! Okay so I did beat the cancer but so this is what happened...... I took an offer from a sketchy guy that I’m sure passed you before you came and talked to me that night. He told me they had a cure well he wasn’t technically lying but the ‘cure’ “

“It was never anything that would disrespect you but we bonded on being in there together and we talked about you all the time....they brought the mutant gene out of Wade in the worst way..part of his torture involved an oxygen extracting tank...you literally have all the air sucked from your body...my torture was nothing compared to his...I’m sure I don’t need to tell you about his smart ass mouth...but he had a way of getting under Ajax’s skin and Ajax gave him the worst repercussions...well one day the wheeled me and Wade in the same room and Ajax began to cut him open right In front of me and all I could think about was him and you... it drove me to anger and I screamed and this super power came out of me like a bionic sound wave and sent them all flying...I have super strength now...Wade developed super strength and regeneration and now...we’ll both never die...or age....but when we broke out...we worked together to free as many prisoners as We could but Ajax started a fire to destroy everyone and start over I guess and Wade..he told me to get as many people out as I could and don’t come back...he told me to tell you he was sorry and he loved you so much...I got a lot of people out and took them to the hospital but the whole building had exploded before I could get everyone out...he told me not to go back but I..I had to I had to see if he made it out but I couldn’t find him or a body anywhere...but Ajax he...he stayed behind and put a shock collar on me and for a year I was his body guard until finally D-uhhh SpiderMan came and helped me fight Ajax and his guards and smashed the remote for my collar...Ajax and a few goons got away but I’ve been free for a day now...and we’ll...here I am...” I said smiling sadly as I stirred my drink. Her jaw dropped
“So...you don’t know for sure if he’s dead then? I mean you said you guys can’t die and you heal but-“
“Well yes but I don’t know where the line is drawn for healing I mean if he was burnt to ash...I don’t know how he would of come out of that but if he got out with even first degree burns...he would of healed...but it’s been a year and I haven’t seen him since....you’re a lucky girl V.. I see why you love him...” I said smiling.
