Sequel: Forever

You And Me Together

The Fight

I bit my lower lip, still dazzled.

"Alyssa! What were you thinking! What if you had met him, and he was some 40 year old
trying to rape you?" My mother asked, pacing the floor. To them, I was the troubled child.
Arianna was perfect, and I was imperfect. I was their flawless imperfection.

"I was thinking I wanted to meet him! He wasn't a 40 year old weirdo, he turned out to be
one of the people I wanted to meet!" I said, slumping in my chair. My father frowned.

"You weren't thinking! What if he was though?" He asked. I looked at him.

"Then I wouldn't be here now, and we wouldn't be having this conversation!" I said, getting
irritated.

"Besides, I still don't trust him." My mother said. I smirked.

"But I do." I said, frowning. Both my parents looked at me.

"Okay, we can go the whole night fighting, but it won't do anything." I said, folding my arms
over my chest.

"We can ban you from talking to him." My father said. I shook my head.

"You can, but that doesn't mean I'll listen. We can move, I'll still talk to him. No matter what,
I'm not going to let you ruin my life!" I shouted, standing up, and running to my room. I closed
the door, turning the lock. I held my body against the door, feeling tears escaping from my
eyes.

"Alyssa! Open this door now!" My father shouted. They didn't believe in violence, but they
hated when I didn't listen to them.

"Leave me alone!" I shouted, letting my body slide to the ground.

"Alyssa! You're 16, that boys 18! That's a two year difference!" My dad shouted again. I
sniffled.

"Two years! Who cares!" I said, wiping my eyes. I could hear a knocking on the door, which
made everything grow silent. I heard my father walk downstairs, his footsteps getting fainter.
I opened my door a little, crawling by the stairs, making sure I wasn't seen.

"Hey Mr. S, is Alyssa home?" Joe asked. I smiled.

"Yes, she is. But I forbid her from seeing you anymore." My dad said. I frowned.

"What? How come?" Joe asked, stepping a little closer to my father.

"You have a bad influence on her. She's already acting out of line, she doesn't need your
help." My father scowled. I stood up, quickly running down the stairs. My dad spun around to
see who it was, Joe grinned. Before my father saw me, I ran behind him, and into Joe. My
father shook his head, turning back to Joe. He frowned.

"Alyssa, back to your room!" He said. I felt Joe wrap his arms around my waist.

"No." I said, turning to face Joe. He smirked, inching his face towards mine.
