Sequel: Always and Forever

Hello Beautiful

Chapter One

It was six AM when I heard my cell phone ring and quickly began to search for it with my eyes still closed. I finally found it underneath my pillow. So, I flipped it open.

“Hello?” I answered still half asleep.

“Good morning star shine, the Earth says Hello,” a voice replied.

I looked at the screen of my phone “Kev,” it read.

“Kevin! Are you nuts! It’s six in the morning, on a Saturday!” I said slightly annoyed.

Kevin laughed, “Sorry, it’s already ten here. What are you doing?” he asked in a stupid tone.

I sat up in my bed, “I was sleeping, until I was rudely awakened by someone,” I said
as I emphasized the word 'someone'.

“Well, all you do is sleep!” Kevin said.

“Do not! I’m just not always on the go like you are Mr. Jonas,” I said.

“Well, it’s all coming to end. We’re coming home for the summer,” Kevin said.

“Oh my gosh, really? When do you guys get here?” I asked with enthusiasm.

“Wednesday!” he said with a laugh.

“Awesome! Where’s Joe and Nick?” I asked.

“Right here, hold on; let me put you on speaker,” Kevin said.

“Alright,” I said.

I heard some shuffling.

“JEWEL!” I heard loudly and pulled my phone away from my ear as quick as I could and began to laugh.

“What’s up losers?” I said as I put it back to ear.

“Eating donuts!” Joe said with a mouth full of food.

“Joe, that’s disgusting!” Nick said with a disgusted voice.

“What? They’re really good!” Joe said.

I laughed, “How’s the tour going?” I asked.

“Good, but thank God we’re going home soon,” Joe said.

“Yeah, I miss it really bad,” Nick said in a sad tone.

“Nick has been getting home sick,” Kevin said with a laugh.

“Have not!” Nick said.

“Have too!” Joe said.

“You guys, leave Nick alone!” I said in a protective voice.

“Thank you!” Nick thanked me.

“He’s just a little baby, it’s not his fault,” I joked.

“You guys are so mean,” Nick pouted.

“We are just playing little bro!” Joe said.

“How are your parents and brother?” Kevin asked.

“The parents are good, and my brothers are annoying, as usual,” I said.

“I bet Frankie is over at your house all the time with Elijah, huh?” Joe asked.

“Yup! Man, I love your little brother; he’s the coolest Jonas ever!” I said.

“Hey!” Kevin, Joe, and Nick said all at the same time.

“Kidding,” I said as I laughed.

“So, what’s up with you and Devyn?” Joe asked, I could tell he was trying to act casual.

“Oh, we broke up a week ago,” I said as my voice saddened.

“What? But I talked to you a week ago, why didn’t you tell me?” Joe asked.

“It happened right after," I said.

“Oh okay,” he said, "You should have called me."

“Why are you smiling, Joe?” Nick asked.

“Shut up!” Joe said.

“Children these days,” Kevin said in an annoyed voice.

“Oh whatever, Kev, you know you are probably the most immature one of the group,” I said to him with a slight laugh.

“That’s true,” Kevin said.

They all laughed.

“So what do you guys have to do today?” I asked.

“I think we have like two interviews, and then a photo shoot," Joe said.

“I see, that sounds fun,” I said.

“It’s alright, I guess. It gets pretty old though,” Kevin said.

“Yeah, it does,” Nick said.

Jewel laughed, “Well you guys, I’m sleepy, call me later on tonight," I said as I yawned.

“Alright, I will, I mean, we will. But when we do, you’re not going to be tired,” Joe said.

I giggled, “Okay, I won’t,” I said.

“Bye!” they all said together.

“Bye,” I said and hung up.

I went to sleep a minute later.

I have lived next door to the Jonas’ for as long as I can remember. We have been best friends forever, our mothers are best friends as well, and my eight year old brother is best friends with Frankie.

*Noon on Saturday*
[Six Hours Later]

I woke up on my own this time. I took a shower, brushed my teeth, and headed downstairs.

“Roar!” I heard that from the living room.

I glanced in the living room and saw my brother Elijah playing dinosaurs with Frankie.

“Morning guys!” I said.

“It’s not morning anymore!” Frankie said as he giggled.

“I know, but it is for me because I just woke up,” I explained.

“Oh okay, why did you just wake up?” Frankie asked.

“Because I can,” I said because I couldn't think of a better answer.

“Okay,” Frankie said as he began to play with Elijah again.

“Mommy said we are leaving for two months,” Elijah said.

“What! Where are we going?” I asked in a shocked tone.

“I think we are going to stay with grandma and grandpa!” Elijah said.

“Mom!” I screamed.

My mother walked in, “Yes, sweetheart?” she said.

“We are leaving for two months?” I asked.

“Yes, we are going to visit your grandma and grandpa,” she said in a happy voice.

“When are we leaving?” I asked.

“Tuesday!” my mom said with a smile.

“No! Mom, Kevin, Joe and Nick, get back on Wednesday. They’re going to be here all summer, I can’t leave,” I said.

“You’ll see them when we get back,” my mom said.

“That’s not fair, mom!” I said as I ran up to my room.
