Sequel: Always and Forever

Hello Beautiful

Chapter Three

The next morning I felt someone jump on me. So I opened my eyes quickly to see Frankie.

I laughed, “What’s up kiddo?” I said ruffling his hair.

“They are going to be here in an hour, wake up!” Frankie said excitedly.

“Who’s going to be here?” I asked confused.

“Oh I don’t know, the Easter bunny…my brothers!” he said.

My eyes widened, “Oh my god, you should have woke me up earlier!” I said getting up quickly.

He just giggled, “You’re hair is messy,” he said.

I laughed, “I know, I got to take shower, so get out of here,” I said as he ran out of the room.

I went to the guest bathroom and took a shower. I brushed my teeth, got dressed, and fixed my hair.

I walked downstairs and helped Denise finish lunch.

“Their bus is here!” Frankie shouted looking out the window.

“Hide sweetie,” Denise said looking at me.

I smiled, nodded, and hid behind the door.

“Frankie, you can’t tell them I’m here yet, got it?” I said.

He nodded, “They are walking really slow, and they keep looking at your house. What’s wrong with them?” Frankie asked.

“Shh!” I said.

The front door opened and Denise, Kevin Sr, and Frankie greeted the boys with hugs.

“Boys, why aren’t you smiling? Aren’t you glad to be home?” Denise said.

“Sort of,” I heard Joe say softly.

I couldn’t take it anymore, I jumped out from behind the door, “Boo!” I said making them all jump.

“JEWEL!” They shouted and tackled me to the floor.

“Oh my gosh, get off of me you fatties,” I said.

“Never!” Joe screamed.

“Boys, get off of her before you kill the poor girl.” Kevin Sr. said.

They eventually got off of me and Joe helped me up.

“You lied to me,” Joe said pointing at my nose.

“You lied to all of us,” Kevin said.

“Yeah, we were all upset for nothing,” Nick said.

I smiled, “I just wanted to surprise you, I’m sorry,” I said with a laugh.

Joe grinned, “You’re forgiven,” he said wrapping his arms around me.

“Lunch is ready kids,” Denise said as her and Paul Sr. walked to the dining room.

“Food!” Kevin shouted and followed his parents.

“Yes!” Nick said and followed his brother.

Frankie giggled and followed his brothers also.

I looked at Joe, “So, are you happy I’m here?” I asked with a smile.

“I’m very happy you’re here,” he said smiling.

“I’m glad, now let’s get some food,” I said grabbing his arm and pulling him into the dining room.

We were eating lunch and talking about the tour.

“There was this one fan, at a meet and greet, she brought this piece of paper asking Kevin to sign it,” Nick said.

“So, what’s wrong with that?” Denise asked.

“It was like this contract saying that he would marry her when she turned eighteen,” Nick finished.

I couldn’t help but laugh, “Oh my god, that’s creepy,” I said.

Joe nodded, “Then there was this other girl that wanted to cut off some of Nick’s hair,” he said.

I made a face, “Did you let her?” I said looking at Nick.

He shook his head, “No way! I love my hair,” he said as we all laughed.

“She had even brought scissors!” Joe said.

“Remember that one girl that kept asking you for your underpants,” Kevin said looking at Joe.

“Don’t remind me,” he said shaking his head, “That girl was creepy.”

“That’s not very nice,” I said looking at Joe.

“If some girl asked you for your underwear, you’d think she was pretty creepy, too,” he said looking at me.

“Well, thank goodness people don’t want my underwear,” I said laughing.

“Are you sure about that….OW!” Nick said.

I looked at him with a face and shrugged.

Nick said, “Oh by the way, Jewel, if you get a whole bunch of friend requests on MySpace, it’s Joe’s fault.”

I made a face, “What are you talking about?” I asked.

“He mentioned you yesterday in a live interview and gave out your URL,” Kevin said.

My eyes widened, “Joe!” I said.

“Sorry,” He said looking down.

“Why’d you mention me anyway?” I asked.

“They asked us what was the thing we missed the most about home,” Nick said.

“Yeah, and he said ‘being with Jewel,” Kevin added.

“So, you gave out my URL?” I asked confused.

“Well, they kept asking me questions, so I just said she’s on MySpace, look her up,” Joe said.

“Oh my god,” I said laughing.

“I’m sorry,” he said looking down.

I smiled, “It’s okay, now I’m just going to get hate mail from your girl fans,” I said.

“It was pretty funny, they asked him if you were his girlfriend,” Kevin said.

I made a face, “that’s weird,” I said, “What did you say?”

“He said, not yet,” Nick said.

I felt my cheeks get red and I looked down at my sandwich.

“Nick, can’t you just keep things to yourself sometimes,” Joe snapped.

“Well it’s true,” Nick said.

“Just shut up okay,” Joe said rudely.

“Joseph, I won’t allow that at the table,” Denise said.

Nick laughed.

Joe stood up and pushed his chair in.

“Shut up!” Joe said looking straight at Nick and walked upstairs.

“He’s a drama queen,” Kevin said.

“Why are you so quiet?” Nick said nudging me.

I shrugged.

“You like him too, don’t you?” Kevin asked.

“I don’t know,” I lied drinking my soda.

“Boys, leave her alone.” Denise said.

I flashed her a thankful smile.

“Joe and Jewel sitting in a tree. A B C D E F G!” Frankie started singing.

“Franklin…” Kevin Sr. said with a warning tone.

“Sorry,” Frankie said quietly.

“I’m going to check on, Joe,” I said standing up and putting my plate in the kitchen then walking up stairs.
