Valeria’s POV
I picked up my can and drained it before throwing it in the bin with a sigh as I felt the cool liquid going down my oesophagus. It had been hot up there on the roof, probably adding to my tiredness; I plonked myself down on the sofa and picked up a magazine on the table, waiting for Matt to do something which might take a while because I can feel him just standing at the door staring at me. I carried on from where I left in my ‘Alternative’ magazine as I waited and finally I heard him move but while I thought he would come and sit next to me, he took the seat directly opposite, sat down and continued staring at me.
We kept at this with no one talking for 10 minutes before I cracked. I threw the magazine on the table in front of me, crossed my arms and glared at Matt
“What are you staring at?” I asked him and he continued looking at me as a smile grew on his face before he spoke
“You caught the sun while you were on the roof” he said and I raised a brow before feeling my face, it did feel hot and then I looked at my arms which were a light pink colour. I shrugged
“Oh well, nothing a shower can’t fix” Matt grinned then and I rolled my eyes
“Brain out of my shower Matt, haven’t you got unpacking or something to do while I go and take one?” Matt frowned at me before sighing and standing up
“I’m sure I can do something while you stand alone in that big empty shower of yours” I grinned at his put down face as he left the room and called after him
“wash my bed cover while you’re at it please, the depressed harpies got friggin ice-cream on them” I heard him laugh as he went down the hall and grinned to myself before bounding up the stairs to take my shower, all the while singing in my head he’s home, he’s home!
I stripped off my clothes and dumped them in my basket before heading into my bathroom and getting a towel and hung it on the hook by my shower before turning the knobs and waiting for it to heat a little before I got in.
I stepped into the shower under the steady stream of warm water, leaning into it so it washed over my head and down my body. I closed my eyes and just stood there for a few moments before I decided to start my shower routine. During this routine though I added in some cooling gel to cool my face of and some moisturising wash/lotion to get my skin healthy and reduce the redness.
Once I had finished I stood under the shower again with my face upturned to the flow of water letting it rain down on my eyelids, cheeks and lips, the warmth of the water different to that of the sun.
I sighed as I decided to get out and turned off the shower before reaching out to grab my towel and placing it around me as I walked out of the shower into the cooler room. Immediately Goosebumps formed on my skin and I shivered lightly from the change in temperature; I walked over to my cupboard and grabbed another smaller towel to dry my hair with and proceeded to walk into my room rubbing my hair violently to get all of the water out.
My room was empty as I walked into it and I smiled at the fact that he hadn’t finished yet. I walked over to my chest of drawers and took out some underwear and slipped them on before going over to my wardrobe and getting into some simple clothes before I went to the club tonight. I looked towards my nice comfy bed that currently had no sheets on it so I pulled some new ones from a shelf in my wardrobe and made my bed up nicely again before laying on top of it with a smile. After about 2 minutes I got bored of that so I went to go and find Matt.
I walked out into the hall and down one door to his room which was open but I saw no one there so I walked in further. Still seeing no one I looked towards his bathroom door which was shut and listened closely, the shower was on. A smile graced my face at the thought of him in the shower but I decided to leave him alone and walked over to his bed and threw myself onto it and curled up getting comfortable.
It didn’t take long for me to relax and I was half asleep when the bathroom door opened and Matt came out with a towel slung low around his waist. He didn’t notice me as he walked over to his wardrobe so I quietly sat up and watched him as he opened the doors and looked around for some clean underwear. He found it and then proceeded to remove the towel, still with his back to me. I admired his very nice behind for a moment with a grin on my face before letting him know I was here. I let out a wolf whistle and clapped while saying
“Come on! Wooooo!” he jumped a bit and turned to face me with the towel he had quickly picked up off the floor held in front of himself. When I saw that I playfully pouted and said
“Aww come on Matt, why did you have to cover up I was enjoying that?!” Matt raised a brow at me having gotten over his shock and replied
“When did you get in here?” I shrugged and laid back on my elbows
“While you were in the shower, I was bored in my room” Matt rolled his eyes before turning around and pulling his shorts up quickly but I still got a nice view of his ass again though.
When he was done he turned and came to walk over to the bed where I was laid watching him and he climbed on to it next to me and laid back with his hands behind his head. I smiled at him and proceeded to lay side ways on the bed with my head on his stomach and my hands laid on my tummy. We lay in silence for a few moments before Matt spoke
“Did you have fun while we were gone?” I laughed and replied
“oh yeah it was total fun trying to cheer this lot up and getting them ice-cream and shit, even Danny wasn’t up for playing around” Matt was silent a moment before asking
“You were the strong one for them then, you didn’t get all depressed?” he said it in kind of a hurt tone and I turned my head to look at his face but he was still looking towards the ceiling.
“Sure I was sad but while they cry and stuff I get active and keep myself busy, you will notice that this house is clean and the garden is fantastic. I also did quite a bit of shopping as well” Matt chuckled and it made his stomach move so my head bounced up and down. I smiled and looked up at the ceiling, I felt him move slightly and then a hand came to my hair and started smoothing it across his stomach. I closed my eyes and enjoyed it a moment before asking him
“Are you guys gonna be at the club tonight or are you taking a night off?” Matt replied
“Umm I think the guys will want some time off, are you still going in?” I nodded and said
“yeah I have to, I have it on good authority that one of my marks is coming in tonight so I have to be there, he’s kind of a hard one to find so this might be my only chance at him, I don’t want one of our girls to go with him instead” Matt shifted before sitting up so I did the same. He sat there looking at me and I did the same. He had a frown on his face as he said
“Are you sure? I mean I don’t want you going in there without anyone there” I smiled softly at him and took his hand in my own
“I’ll be fine Matt, I’ve never had any trouble, well until you guys that is, so I can do this on my own and anyway if it gets out of hand the rooms have cameras so they can see what’s going on and send back up if needed, there have been a few Mafioso around in case of anything while you were gone and nothing happened, it will be fine” I finished my little speech and looked at him but he still didn’t look too happy so i sighed and shifted until I was sat next to him and wrapped my arms around his chest as he wrapped his around me. I buried my face in the crook of his neck and he laid his on my head.
“I really did miss you, you know” I mumbled into his skin and I felt his arms tighten around me
“I missed you as well; it’s weird though because as you said about the girls being depressed and you weren’t, well that’s what we were like as well, I hate getting all mopey while the guys were all sad but I couldn’t get you out of my head though. It was insane” I nodded and leaned back to look at his face
“yeah it was but you know I kinda liked the feeling of missing someone, makes it way better when you come back and I knew you would” Matt grinned and ran a hand through my hair
“Yeah why wouldn’t we I mean we are the best” I gasped and said
“Excuse me? I am way better than you guys!” he scoffed and replied
“Yeah right, you’re the best but we got you, I’m sorry honey but that makes us the best not you” I glared at him and he smirked at me. The smug look on his face got to me so in a quick move I pinned him against the bed and straddled his waist with a triumphant grin on my face but it didn’t last long as I found myself thrown down beside him and him pinning me down instead.
I opened my mouth in shock and Matt laughed at me so I play glared before sticking out my lip in a pout and looking away from him. Matt grinned down at me and said
“Come on Valeria, look at me, it’s not my fault I’m stronger than you” I still refused to look at him so he bent his head down to my ear and whispered
“please look at me or I will find a way to make you” I still refused, finding this fun but kept a straight face so I felt Matt sigh against my skin and heard him say
“Ok have it you’re way” before he then proceeded to tickle me. I broke out laughing and started squirming beneath him and shouting
“Ok, ok stop I will look at you!” he stopped and I turned my face to his while breathing deeply to get air back into my lungs and he was staring at me intently with a small smile on his face. I raised a brow and asked
“Happy now?” but he shook his head and replied
“Not really” I looked at him quizzically and was about to ask why when he bent his head and placed his lips against mine. It took me a second to react and I started to kiss him back. Noticing I was kissing back he deepened the kiss and placed a hand on my cheek while I wrapped one around his neck and the other around his waist pulling him closer to me.
After a while we pulled away as we ran out of air and breathed while looking at each other. I had a soft smile on my face while he grinned at me and said
“I have been waiting for that since that one before we left” I laughed and pulled him towards me again giving him a deep, passion filled kiss before pulling away again and grinned up at him
“Well you got it now so what you gonna do?” Matt rolled off of me and said
“Kidnap you and have my wicked way?” I laughed and hit him lightly on the chest to which he laughed as well but I turned onto my front and looked at him
“None of that mister, anyway kidnapping is out of the question I have work to get to” Matt sighed and replied
“Yeah, yeah, ok well do you want me to drive you there?” I nodded and said
“Yeah that would be nice and we should get going now” he nodded and got up to go put on a top and shorts before grabbing me off the bed and holding my hand as we walked down the stairs and to the cars.
We pulled up outside the club and I went to get out but Matt pulled me back and said
“Call me if anything happens” I nodded
“Of course I will and you gonna pick me up as well?”
“Definitely just give me a call and I’ll be right here”
“Ok well I’ll see you later” he nodded and I turned to leave but he pulled me back again into a kiss and I kissed him back before pulling away and saying
“Stop it or I will never get to work” he laughed and I got out of the car and waved to him and blew him a kiss before walking through the doors into the club.
