Chapter 123 Lashing out
Alicia dragged Kate inside, where she made it to the kitchen and saw Mikey, Mikey saw Kate walked up to her and pulled her in to a tight embrace “Katie Bear...I’ve missed you and no calls”
“Sorry Mikey” Kate replied
“Don’t worry bout it, I just wanted to make you feel guilty..But you’re here now and yeh Gee is here to but I hope everything is ok”
“Mikey I promise it’s ok...But I’m going back outside for a smoke and more drinking”
Before Kate could move anywhere Frank also came in to the kitchen “Babe...Come here”
Kate walked over very slowly knowing that in the next room was Gerard “What Frankie..Gee’s here and it’s ok we have been talking..Do you wanna say Hi, get it over and done with?”
“Yeh I may as well”
Kate followed Frank in to the lounge where Gerard was sitting with a girl who had brown hair and brown eyes, looking very pretty, an instant pang of jealousy hit over her.
“Kate it’s been some time” Gerard said giving Kate an awkward hug
“yeh I know” Kate whispered
“Oh this is my girlfriend Lyn-z”
Kate was shocked she had heard the word girlfriend but regained her composure when she heard the girl speak “Hi...it’s nice to meet you?”
“You too” Kate replied with a polite smile, while now grasping on to Frank’s hand
Gerard could sense that there was a little bit of hostility so decided to change the subject “So Frank told me you have your album all done and tomorrow your first single is coming out”
“It is...I’m pretty excited...Well if you will excuse me I need to you use the ladies...By the way Lyn-z nice meeting you” Kate said as she walked off grabbing the bottle of champagne and heading outside
The rest of the girls were already outside giggling and telling funny stories, seeing Kate with the bottle they knew she had seen Gerard “Katie you ok” Alicia asked
“Couldn’t be better...So what you guys doing?”
The girls started to talk together as the wine flowed freely, while the boys were inside with Lyn-z who were talking, the boys decided to join the girls who seemed to be having heaps of fun as all they could hear was giggle and then more laughing, Frank was a little tipsy and Ray was up there too that both dragged the stereo out where Frank put Kate’s CD in the player so everyone could here her first single “This is my baby’s song...You better fucken love it” Frank said as he high five’d Ray
Gerard cringed when he heard Frank say them words and Kate also sat there uneasily but before she could say anything she heard her own voice boom from the speakers

Gerard looked over at Kate deep down he was so proud of her and he wished he was the one who was showing her off not Frank but it wasnt and he now had Lyn-z “Kate congrats” Gerard said giving her a hug, Kate held on soaking up Gerard’s essence not wanting to let go.
“Thanks guys...I’m glad you liked it” Kate said with a little slur, she could feel the wine going to her head but didnt mind, excusing herself she went to find the bathroom where Gerard followed her.
“Katie...are you ok?”
“What do you want?” Kate hissed
Gerard was taken back “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“Oh you know” Kate replied stumbling up the stairs
“What ever Kate...I just wanted to see if you were ok”
“I’m fine...just go back to your GIRLFRIEND” Kate replied
“Fine” Gerard said as he walked off
Kate looked towards him just watching as he disappeared back outside... After finally finding the bathroom, Kate headed back outside and decided to sit on Frank’s lap who was loving the attention, oblivious to the fact Kate was trying to make Gerard jealous.
