The Betrayed Soul of a Second Heartbeat

Sitting down in the bunk next to Zacky was interesting. Matt and Val were already asleep in their bunk, Brian and Maia were up in the front with Johnny and Chloe drinking coffee. Meanwhile, Jimmy and Christina were in the back of the bus playing video games...specifically Wii Sports.

"You tired?" Zacky asked, turning towards me.

"A little..." I smiled weakly.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing..."

He looked at me in disbelief.

"Nothing?" he said shaking his head.

I then turned into the bunk and faced the wall. He closed the curtain and laid down next to me. I felt his warm hands wrap around me and hold me close.

"C'mon...tell me..." he whispered.

"It's nothing...I'm just thinking of Christopher..." I sighed.

"I'm sure he's fine...he's with Jason and Matt...."

"I know..." I replied.

"Tell me...what's really going on?" he questioned.

I turned to face him, but didn't look into his eyes.

"I've just been thinking a lot..."

"About..." he insinuated.

"About life...our life...."

He looked at me puzzled for a minute.

"There is nothing wrong with our life...is there?" he asked.

"I don't know...I guess not..."

"C'mon...tell me..." he added.

"It's just...you and the guys are gonna be on tour, while me and the girls...we're going to have to watch the kids..."

He continued to look at me puzzled.

"Well...I...We I mean... don't know how long we can be on tour with you guys, with the kids."

"They seem fine to me...." he stated.

"I just think...it's not a great growing up environment for them...."

He sighed and nodded.

"Yeah...you're right." he finally said.

I looked up at him slowly, when he looked into my eyes.

"Anyways...I'm tired..." I added.

I then turned back towards the wall and closed my eyes. I heard him sigh one last time before I finally fell asleep.
