He Saved Me, Loved Me, Wanted Me

XX.

“I can’t believe they threw Fruity Pebbles at us,” I said with a laugh as I fished the cereal out of my bodice.

“Let me help,” Brian said as he peered down the dress from the seat next to me. We were currently in a limo headed to this fancy hall place that seemed perfect for the reception since there wasn’t room to house everyone at the wedding itself. I giggled as Brian’s hand snaked down the top and fished for the small flakes of cereal.

“Thank you Mr. Haner,” I said with a smile when he emptied his palm onto the floor. He gently pecked my lips.

“You are very welcome, Mrs. Haner.” Another peck. I sighed happily. True, I was going to have to get used to Ana Haner but it was all very, very nice. Brian kissed me on the forehead as we pulled into the hall’s drive. Everyone was already here, except for us, and we were to make our grand entrance. “Are you ready?” Brian asked as his forehead laid on mine.

I smiled and nodded. “Of course.”

“Okay, stay here and I’ll open your door.”

“Ah, quite the gentleman.”

“Duh. See what I’m wearing?” I laughed as he stood out of the car and opened the door for me. “My lady?” he asked, holding his hand out and waiting for me to grab it.

While saying, “My good sir,” I grabbed his hand as he helped me out of the limo.

As we walked to the door, I could hear music emit from the place. The front was all decorated, much like a party and I sighed happily once again. Could anyone possibly be as happy as me? Brian’s arm held securely and protectively onto my waist.

“I love you, baby,” Brian told me after he mimicked my happy sigh.

I smiled. “I love you too.”

We walked into the hall and were immediately bombarded with ‘Congratulations,’ ‘I’m so proud of you two,’ and hugs. Everyone loves hugs, right? Well, let me just say when you get about fifteen or so in a row it gets extremely redundant. But the inside was beautifully decorated, much like the outside. Everyone that helped did a really nice job with it.

“The newlyweds are here!” Jimmy called, his tux jacket already off and his tie loosened. “Let the feast… begin!” I laughed at Jimmy and everyone grabbed a plate, as well as some wine, although I opted for a glass of apple juice.

Mattie went around with a video camera, recording the party, even Brian and I at times. Everyone even had their own disposable camera so they could take pictures. We would get them developed later. Everyone involved in the wedding sat at this table overlooking everyone else. After nearly everyone was finished, a glass sounded as if it were being hit with a fork or knife. Everyone looked to the sound. It was Zacky hitting his glass with a fork.

“I demand attention!” he said with a light laugh afterwards. “I just want to make a toast to Brian and Ana. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that they are just perfect for each other and I’m glad Brian could snag a girl like her.” I smiled at this comment and kissed Brian lightly. “I remember one day Brian calling me. Wanting advice, nonetheless.” Brian chuckled into my neck as I continued to listen. “So he says, ‘I need advice, I’m so confused!’” Okay, so it was the dramatic voice over of Brian, but it was still interesting. “And I said, ‘Why don’t you ask Val or something, she’s better at it than me.’ ‘I tried, almighty Zacky but I think she’s busy!’ And by busy we all kno-”

“Zachary, get to the point!” Val said, clearly in a laughing annoyance.

“Okay, so anyway, he tells me Ana kissed him. But he thought it about more of ‘smashing the lips together,’ instead of major ‘porno make out session,’ which the smashing I told him I still considered a kiss. So I say, ‘Oh, my noble joker, what is it you need help with?’” Brian laughed again into my shoulder. I knew these weren’t the exact words, they’d never say something like it. “And he told me that he was confused, that he never felt the way he did about Ana with anyone before, and at that moment,” Zacky continued, “I knew Ana was the one for him, and I couldn’t be any happier for the couple. So… cheers.” He tipped his drink in the air. “A toast for Ana and Brian Haner, may they live happily ever after, forever and ever.”

“Here, here,” the crowd said, Brian and I included.

“Thank you, Zack,” I said, patting Zack’s arm.

“Oh, you deserve it.”

“I can’t believe you still remember that,” Brian laughed.

“Well you know what? I do.” Brian kissed my cheek and took a sip of his drink. I still couldn’t believe he didn’t have a beer. Then again, I’m surprised I haven’t seen any here.

“Let’s cut the cake already!” Johnny said.

“Yes, let’s,” Michelle said, already getting her camera ready.

I looked at Brian. “Please don’t smash any food in my face?” I put on a pout and everything.

“Aww. How can I say no to that?” he merely asked, pecking my nose before standing up and helping me with him. We walked over to where the two leveled cake was, decked out in purple and black icing.

“Okay,” I said, grasping onto the serving knife, his hands on mine.

“One,” Brian said.

“Two,” I replied.

“Three,” we said together, pushing down on the edge. We did the other end and put the cake on a plate, each grabbing a piece.

“Eat it, eat it, eat it!” Jimmy called. Brian and I chuckled, grabbing a piece.

“Remember what you said,” I warned.

“Got it,” Brian’s smirk appeared.

“Go slow for pictures,” Val basically asked us.

“Kay,” I replied, taking a piece of the cake in my fingers and slowly putting it to his mouth as he did the same. As soon as the piece was in my mouth, I quickly smeared the piece for him on his face. Needless to say, he was shocked.

“Hey!” he called, a noticeable grin on his face.

“What?” I asked innocently. “You never asked me not to.”
