As a child, Eleanor is convinced that during the day time, she lives with her mother in downtown Phoenix, and at night when she goes to sleep, she lives with her father in his kingdom by the sea.
When her mother dies, she leaves a note behind addressed to 'My Darling Daughter' explaining the truth about her father, which brings her dreams to a grinding hault.
Ten years later, she is convinced that she knows how to get back to the kingdom by the sea and she's hell bent on making it happen.
