Rachel Rants: Horror Movies.

(Let the record show; I totally stole the banner idea from Porn.)
I hate them!
Everyone at course is getting all excited about Halloween and they're going to rent horror movies and scare them selves... Oh my god, I just can't do it.
Personally I blame Lauren. HELLO! What decent babysitter lets two ten year olds watch 'The Exorcist'?! Ugh.
Now, I did watch it from behind a cushion... but still. Gimme a break I was ten.
But then...Oh man...
I was 11. I went to Girl Guides, we were having a sleepover one night. See the church we went to had a hall, the hall's basement was all done up like a den. Lots of bean bags, it's own little tuck shop, that sort of thing.
That night we watched movies. -gulp-
15 teenage girls, me and my other 11 year old friend and a movie that I think was called 'Halloween H20' or something along those lines.
If you've never seen it... Basically, pyscho in a white mask kills lots of people. -shudder-
I have never been more scared of anything in my life.
To be 100% honest, I am still scared that the Michael dude in the mask with his kitchen knife will be hiding when I'm home alone.
I've mentioned was in a basement at the time right? A basement of a church... yeah.
No joke, mum considered therapy. I slept with the light on. I can't go to sleep now without thinking "If I can't see them, they can't get me." Seriously. I am that much of a pansy. I don't mean to. Its like an OCD or something.
So then then the next Girl Guide sleep over rolls around. and mum was all "Now take your walkman," (Yes, before iPods, kids,.) "And listen to that and don't watch the horror movies. Promise?"
No problem.... I didn't wanna watch them. But... No batteries.
So I ended up listening to 'The Craft' and 'I Still Know What you Did Last Summer'
Wasn't just as scared but it was still pretty bad.
I always have over thought situations and my imagination gets the better of me. I end up thinking of myself getting murdered in the worst possible ways and it scares the hell out of me.
Although since then I have seen, and was not scared of 'Freddy vs Jason', 'American Werewolf In London', 'Sixth Sense', 'The Others'and 'Gothika'.
But also since then I have hidden behind a cushion/ sofa/ ex-boyfriend while theothers in the room watched 'Boo!', 'Texas Chainsaw Massacre', 'Saw [insert correct roman numeral here]' and 'The Exorcism Of Emily Rose' AndI'm sure there was another really brutal one... Don't remember it's name though.
I just can't do it!
...Lion King anyone?

I love horror movies. Getting together with a group of friends and scaring yourselves and then giggling over how silly you are to be scared is sooo much fun. Besides, watching the news can be scarier than anything cooked up in the minds of Wes Craven or Stephen King. And how could you be scared of "I still know what you did last summer?" that movie is totally lame. I also like watching really cheesy horror films; they make me laugh, and me and my friends can make fun of how lame the acting and special effects are. Scary movies are cool so long as you don't watch em alone.

I don't get why people love horror movies so much. I mean, who wants to piss themselves?
LION KING FTW!!
(I giggle every time I see "Emily Rose" because that's 3 letters away from my name. Just thought you ought to know)

I like horror movies with good plots.. Me and my friend used to watch them when we were like.. 8 up her house? But sh*t plots and just murder scares the crap out of me, because I never get what's going on..

I love scary movies, even though the majority of them aren't even scary. :XD

I just watch horror movies to entertain myself. I don't know I guess I just like to scare myself but sometimes my mind comes up with weird visions that makes me sleep with the light on too. I'm strangely instrested in any horror flicks with cannibals though.

The Grudge was lame as hell. Halloween: The Return of Michael Myers is one of my favorites. Children of the Corn? Lame. Nightmare on Elm Street? Hell yeah! Freddy Vs. Jason was pretty good. But then again, I'm a Chris Marquette fan.
Newer horror movies aren't even that scary. Too many special effects that make you say, "Pfft! Yeah, right!"

Horror movies never scared me, really. Its stupid. I just hate watching them because they make too many of them and they're all the same almost.

I love horror movies, but I get scared so easily xDD

I watched The Grudge with my friend...Never, Again. I'm still paranoid from it. Jeepers Creepers when I was like 8, it freaked me out for a while then I forgot it. I watched part of it again and was paranoid for a week.
I can stand stuff like Sweeney Todd and Sleepy Hollow 'cause they aren't even slightly scary, plus they have Johnny Depp...

Yeah, I'm no fan of the new horror movies that are coming out, I'm a huge fan of old school horror, like 'Cujo' and 'The Shining' etc, those movies are great and not too scary.

I hate supernatural horrors from these days. I can watch things about serial killers and everything, but not about exorcisms and stuff x]
