    Honestly, I am from the Middle East but I live in Australia, and this is disgusting. I don't know how these Saudi Arabians justify their actions via Islam. Countries like these are completely wrong. Islam is not a violent religion, nor a way to trule a country. It is a peaceful religion. The Saudi Arabian countries, and many more countries like this, abuse Islam and dirty its name by doing stuff like this. Nowhere in the Quran does it mention the disgusting laws that Saudi Arabia "claims" are Islamic.
    As for the woman, I honestly feel sorry for her. Living in a country such as Saudi Arabia and just peeking through your clothing is a terrible thing. I don't think these extremists realise how stupid their actions are. God bless her, even though she done nothing wrong.

    Heartswell, wow. How can you sit there and almost defend what they did? Witchcraft, in my opinion, doesn't even exist. So they're basically killing her because she was in the possession of a white robe and some stuff that "smelled funny." It could be a spice for all they know. I hope someone sends that lady here if she wasn't killed already.

    We can't generalize and say that in the Middle East things are much the way they were in Europe long time ago. Most of the Middle Eastern countries don't have the same system that Saudi Arabia's has.

    I think what where seeing here is just another reason we have history classes at all. It's to keep History from repeating its self. In the Middle East things are much the way they where in Europe in the 1400th-1600th century (also known as the "Dark ages" or "Golden Age of Religion"). What changed for Europe, how ever was the Enlightenment, and a new wave of brilliant thoughts and ideas from some of the greatest minds in history such as Montesquieu and John Locke. There ideas helped start the reformation of governments that has today brought us the American, French, and British democracies. But it seems this enlightenment did not reach the lands of the middle east. All we here in America can do now is hope that some day the minds and ways of thinking of the Islamic people will change just as ours did. There isn't much we can do other wise since the rest of the world thinks we've done too much already *cough*=]

    Ok, this really scares me (I mean more than the article "Mom Gives Baby Meth" does) Witchcraft, Beheading, Beating Information Out Of A Poor Woman!!?? Don't they teach us about history, so that we can learn from it and keep it from hapenning over again? I don't know about you guys but I wanted to have kids in the future and with things like this happening...im thinking that maybe I don't want to any longer.

    First off, I realize that this is another country and I respect their culture to some extent, but are you serious? Her confession was beaten out of her?! How medieval can you get? And the fact that she had to sign documents she could even read is just plain disgusting. With no lawyer to defend her, she was truly on her own, and the fact that she couldn't even seek one makes me question the judicial proceedings over there. Crimes against Islam?!
    Ugh, this is beyond sickening. The fact that the Islamic rulers would just kill anybody because their beliefs differ from theirs makes me really scared of the times we live in. I'm a Christian, but you don't see me killing someone just because they believe in a different religion. This is crazy!

    This reminds me of how in North Korea, I think, how they have no rights at all, sometimes I wish that everyone all around the world could have equal rights, but I bet there's a down side to that if it happened.

    As a Catholic, I am truely afraid. Beheading!? In the Bible, there is a very detailed description of the end-times. It involves a one-world religion, and death to non-believers by... that's right. Beheading. That's almost exactly what they're doing here, more and more. It might not be true, but this sounds very much to me like the last days. This poor woman, God bless her.

    Oh, and although i do believe that saudi does handle most of it's criminal accusations in a sexist manner in the particular case i think it has more to do with classism then it has to do with sexism. Even though they may have handled a man differently then a woman, they are mainly trying scare the Saudi people and they will go to any length in order to do so. They are saying that, 'we have more power than you and if you refute our commands and beliefs you will be punished in the most excruciatingly way possible.' and just for good measure they come up with ridiculous accusations of 'witch craft' in order to prove their point.

    GOD THIS ENRAGES ME!
    How can the prospect of "witchcraft," still be punishable in this day and age. Shouldn't the world be evolved past this level of benightedness? The whole situation is crude, very crude.Joe Stork makes a very valid point. How can the Saudi court be expected to make rational decisions about criminal allegations when they have so ignorantly put a woman away of supposed use of 'witchcraft.' Usually i complain about having to live in America because of our governments lack of morals and ignorance, but this article makes me feel eternally grateful that i am not put away for practicing cretin religious beliefs or sitting with a man in star bucks. GOD BLESS AMERICA*just not our current government officals;)*

    that's just...wow i think that's really small-minded!!
    i think it's just another way to stop women fromhaving power; men get intimidated and accuse them of witchcraft then have them killed for it just to scare other women. that just makes me so mad! it's a sad thing that things like this still happen today ;__;

    this is the Salem Witch trials all over again, but in Saudi Arabia,
    that's such a cruel punishment for such a thoughtless accusation! :(
