    no one spoke about or helped her because of the basis of culture. When you grow up with certain morals and other teachings as these people may have, you stand by them. This woman obviously did something different that made her seem like she was rejecting the morals and teachings of the people, so they punished her. Just like if you go to countries like Dominican Republic or anyother small country; you'll find that the law permits the town or village to kill a rapist in public, in broad daylight.
