a book that makes surgery seem less scary is good.
but objectifying a woman as a barbie doll is unacceptable.
kids will think that this magic thing called plastic surgery is a source of love and beauty.

What kind of crap do people teach children nowadays?
I sort of expected it though.
No one's happy with their appearance when someone mentions that they have 'baby fat' or a big nose. So why wait for someone to tell your kids that? It's much better to tell them yourselves! (<-Sarcasm)
But I'm saying this is like the stupidest thing I've ever heard.

Also, for those who don't understand why I find this psychologically misleading for young children...
As we all know, children want to be like their parents.
It's a natural step of life, it helps us grow and understand the world around us so we can survive.
At a younger age, they tend to like the mimic the things their parents like to do, such as doing little chores around the house, helping their mother cook, all of that good stuff.
A mother or father is a role-model for a child, and they strive to be like them in their youth.
Now, if in this book a child's mother is getting plastic surgery, they aren't actually telling the child to encourage their mother to get plastic surgery; in all actuality, they are trying to convince the child themselves to get plastic surgery when they are at age to do so, because a mother influences her child.
Of course, that won't be apparent at first for the child, they aren't going to want plastic surgery after reading the book. It's all subliminal messaging. I believe the producers of this book will hope it will lead to the child subconsciously recalling the book when hearing of plastic surgery as they are grown, and be more subject to actually getting plastic surgery. I may not be explaining myself perfectly, but if you grasp what I'm saying and you add it all up, it makes sense.
    Stupid conspiracy shit.

Wow... just when you think humanity can't get any fricken stupider...
I can't believe they're targeting CHILDREN for this kind of shit.
Yeah, "my mommy looks pretty and that is all that matters". -__-
A beautiful mother is one who makes an effort to take care of her children, not necessarily one who looks flawless.
Usually the flawless looking ones are irresposible drunks.
And teaching little kids that beauty is on the outside...? My god.
You know, society seriously needs to stop contradicting itself... if so many people are worried about teenagers and their drugs, sex, and whatnot, then why the hell are they putting this crap out on the markets for little children to read? The memory of a book like that will carry onto their teenaged and adult years, therefore making them obsessive over their appearance. -__- It will also make people more vulnerable to being under the influence of things for they're being attacked at a very young, innocent, and insecure age. -sighs-
Flat-out disgusting... it's a complete outrage, and I think that disgrace of a desensitizing, psychologically misleading "book" shouldn't be allowed to be on the shelves.
Good job writing the article, though.

...I agree with the person below.
    What the hell?

Also how the article was written reminded me of an air hostess all chirpy and sweet. You can almost imagine someone like Barbie saying it really.

Meh, now kids are going to beg their parents for plastic surgery because they're "too ugly." Why can't people just give kids time to be kids? It's like they're growing up too fast, putting way too much make up on their face, making them look like clowns, and dating when they're in like 4th grade.

    Society disgusts me.

I agree with the person below. Kids are gonna think all this surgery to give them un-natural beauty is good. It's not, it's fake and useless.

    That's pretty sick really.

When you're a kid, it's the time when you can be innocent... it used to last until you were about 16. Now it's about 10. At the most.

How long will it be until kids are effectively just very small adults at the age of 5 ?
It's sick what's happening to the world.
