Miley Cyrus Criticized for Offensive Asian Pose - Comments

Okay, I'm Asian and have a burning hatred for Miley Cyrus but this is ridiculous. Dude, there is a fucking asian in the picture! -_-

I do think that a lot of the things that Miley does in inappropriate but people got to chill. There is no point in picking out every single little thing just to cause more drama, it's just pathetic. But that doesn't mean she isn't at fault either. Sure other teenagers may be doing it but at least they aren't role models of what 5 year olds and up? She needs to become a bit more responsible and at her age.

But besides that I think that this is fucking stupid. Psh, even my asian friends and I joke around doing that lol. As long she wasn't doing it intentionally then people should just leave her alone.

Of course this picture isn't really offensive and people are making a fuss out of pretty much nothing, but Miley Cyrus needs to apologize anyways. She was asked to do so, and the right thing to do would be to own up and say sorry.

This girl needs to understand that she is in the public spotlight, and she can't keep doing stupid things that put negative attention on her. Yes, she's a teenager, but she also works largely for Disney- meaning she has a lot of young fans and needs to be a positive role model.

Now, obviously she shouldn't have done that, but for god sakes.

I know plenty of Asians who push their eyes together and make fun of Caucasians, but you don't see anyone telling them it's wrong.

I don't believe her being "Just a kid" is an excuse for her doing anything racially offensive.
Plus, just because her Asian friend isn't offended doesn't mean it won't offend other people.
We had a similar discussion in english a couple of weeks ago and came to the conclusion that it's fine if its your friend and they don't personally have a problem with it, but you wouldn't exactly do it to a stranger.
