Lolz For the longest time I've felt like I'm something, that there has to be a mix of schitzophrenia and bi-polarity but I never found it xDD thank you ^.^ =3
Wow this is amazing. disorders such as this are really interesting to me, I don't know why. I find it fascinating how the brain works and affects our lives so drastically.
Btw, this was VERY well written. You should print it out and post it places, I think it would be very informative and helpful to a lot of people!
i don't like to admit this, but.
when i read the Symptoms, it was like reading an About Me section. Like literally - i practically checked Yesss to everything.
I've told my mom about me having these depressed thoughts and not being able to eat and gaining and stuff like that - but she thinks i should stop kidding myself; and get out of this phase.
Well its easier said than done. And i don't feel like its a phase, its been going on since late '06 .... then it went away then began early '08 ...until now D:
You just described my father. He's got it all plus some. He's had it since he was very little, and he was just diagnosed with it about maybe 7 years ago. All of his sisters except for one have the same thing.
I couldn't read the whole thing, but from what I skimmed, a very good and well-researched article. I have a friend with Schizophrenia, so he has similar symptoms, thus, I get sad reading about it.
I thought the article was well-written, but I'm afraid people will look at this and like Dancing Caveman said, be like, "Oh I have this because I am so sad!!!11"
I've already seen one. -_-
Novocaine Abusers. I know what you mean. That's why I made a point to put in there at least nearly every day and [depending on which symptom] for two weeks to a month or longer, otherwise it won't classify as a mental disorder. Also why I put it has to be severe enough to disrupt your usual life.
Dancing Caveman, I am hoping against hope no one does. E-slap 'em twice, once for me, and once for you. :D
*claps* beautifully written. you'd make a very good journalist, m'dear. :)
man, i have bipolar, well actually it may just be unipolar seeing as i haven't had a real manic episode in years but i've been on almost all the meds you mentioned and dozens more, just trying to find what works for my body chemistry. *sigh* it's a royal pain but whatever helps.
