My father has Parkinson's. His doctor told him to document some of his days when it is fairly bad, and I happened to come across those journals of his. It was very nerve wrecking. He kept repeating "can't remember anything," and "Can't do anything right."
His disease doesn't really affect our family at all, except for when his hands shake violently and that just causes a distraction and a sadness in me.
This is a fantastic article and it is very well written. My pop-pop too suffers from Parkinson's Disease and it feels good to know that someone else knows what its like to have someone in the family go through something as difficult as Parkinson's.
