@ kim ryeowook. Thank you for your comment. To tell the truth I wrote this article because I have visited both Auschwitz and Birkenau a few times lately and I only wanted to write a short article about Auschwitz, just a few facts, not who di it nor why.
I agree with Dru's comment. The information provided was very vague & I'm not impressed with the fact that you never mentioned the blueprints of Auschwitz or acknowledged that this was not the first concentration camp. Far from it, actually. Hitler was not the first, either. Without trying to sound rude, I just don't get the sense that you put much research into this article.
If you're really interested in the subject, I suggest you research the Herero Wars & the Zweites Reich under Kaiser Wilhelm II. From there, there stem many concepts that become true again of Hitler's regime. Oh, & don't forget the Weimar Republic.
The German History Society, The Holocaust Research Project & A BBC documentary titled "Nambia Genocide" are resources that I would suggest. (I took German history at the honors level, so I have plenty of resources to share if you're interested.)
@ ninahx You are for sure doing a very good job, and I know this is a very subject to write about. Oh yeah I visited Birkenau as well, I've only visited it once though (both Auschwitz and Birkenau) but I still think it can be really though to talk about :)
@ Kukilein. thank you for the feedback(: this was the second article i have ever written so I am trying harder next time. i, too, have visited both Birkenau and Auschwitz a few times because my family has historical connections to both, thus making the shoah very personal subject to me. but still, thanks(:
I would've thought that you'd add how many people who escaped is still alive, but other than that I liked this article though it feels like you've missed a lot of informations about Auschwitz, but I guess that's because I've been there and learned a lot of it.
I feel like this could have gone deeper. I was not moved and I felt I should have been. The facts were solid, but facts aren't always moving on their own.
