Tsk, tsk.
It's always so amusing to see children so worked up about religeon on the internet.
Now, just for the sake of the ignorant , I'd like to clear the following up;
I linked the definition for Atheism as a commentary on the fact that people have the choice not to follow a religeon in this day and age. The reason being the authors poorly researched generalisation that supposedly we all worship some sort of diety. With that said, using technology and the media was a play on words and all round social commentary. Learn to look into things more thoroughly, yes?
And as for "This Isn't Really Me", I'd watch throwing around the "c" word on Mibba, espeshially when referring to a member.
Wow, this is really big of you. I've read some of your articles and they do come off as one-sided. But you seem to have grown up and realised that other people have opinions too.
I think your point about all believing in a God is a bit iffy but you're getting better.
WRITERofTRUTH don't you think that's being a little immature?
Mostly all religions teach the same thing - lead a good life and treat people well.
Anyway, just science and technology on which we rely. There are those of us who have moved forward, and those who are yet to do so. . Uh, I'm Catholic and want to be a astrophysicist. Just because people have a religion doesn't mean they don't rely on technology or science. I'm pretty sure the Vatican said something about accepting evolution. I forget exactly. I'm not the best person to ask. Either way, I still believe in it.
Also Atheism isn't a religion. In order to have a religion you must believe in an afterlife. Atheists don't believe anything happens after death.
And just saying, not all Catholics will agree on some of the sensitive subjects either. I know I don't. I hated that people posted so much on pro-life. It bothered me. What if you were raped you know?
I'm glad you wrote this. It's nice that you saw what you were doing in your article before this one. It was also very mature of you to write this.
Next time you write a article about religion, research both sides of the argument before posting. :]
Oh yes. Atheism is bad for me in the way that I don't feel the need to believe in a divine being creating the entire universe, and find evolution to be much more logical. I'm just so unhealthy!
I'm not attacking those that do believe in God, I'm just saying... it's not bad for me to not believe in God. And it's absurd to say that it is.
I'm no worse off than those who do. I still want to be a good person. I still care about the world. I'm not a bad person. It doesn't depress me to think that there's no such thing as God.
Hey! It's nice when people decide not to bash each other over the head with opinions! ^^
I wrote an article about homosexuality and christianity and got bashed over the head for it. Then I promptly realised that I had quite a few flaws in my argument, and actually, it really didn't matter!
Napalm - Since when did people worship technology? I'm pretty sure none of my atheist friends do.
Note to the author - Catholicism doesn't teach that witchcraft is bad. To be honest, it doesn't really teach anything about witchcraft. It was puritans that burnt witches.
And finally, La Princesa Muerta, yes, Atheism is not recommended for the overweight, those with heart problems or pregnant women. Or so they say =]
Writting this artical was really mature of you. To admit that maybe your last one was a bit...bigited I guess is one way to say it, takes guts and I thank you for that.
Just, next time you write an artical about religion, really try to take other peoples views and feelings into count.
Actually, I just thought of something, Napalm.
You're saying that by conforming to atheism, we are moving forward and we are worshipping technology and evolution.
YOU'RE NOT. YOU'RE JUST ACKNOWLEDGING IT.
Did you know atheism's bad for you?
Ever heard of existential angst?
Stop trying to be so bloody smart.
Stop trying to be smart.
Napalm, there was no need to be such a cunt.
MaggAims2Live, not bad. I wouldn't really call it an article so much as an apology and explanation but y'know, it is pretty good and a nice effort.
Napalm, Atheism isn't a religion. Her statement is correct. There's not an entity, book, ritual, mass, etc. to be done, atheists just have a lack of religion because they do not agree with any of them. Just a thought. :)
