nerdy_. , Michael Collins. He was the dude who orbitted the space thingy around the moon, right? Never got to tread on the moon, poor dude.

You appear to contradict yourself in this article, but other than that I think it was quite well written.

i'm a first child but most the time my mom tells me to sharpen up and "give a good example."
It's the wish there was no first, second and such but... we can't do much. We're living the deam aparrently...

But everyone knows that first is the worst and second is the best.
(And third is the one with the hairy chest).

Ah, I was the second child too.
My brother was the shining star and I may as well be what the cat dragged in last night and left near the radiator.

Being the best would suck anyway. I prefer being anything but last. The weird, dumpy kid in the race who runs like Igor...

And just so you know, I admire the cynicism in your writing. It's a hell of a lot easier to read than the "OHYAYEVERYONE'SHAPPY!" point of view.

I am a second child. And its not always that case; My older brother has set the bar so low on the "impressive" scale, that its to the point I could bother waking up early and its a shock to my parents.

I do have to admit that this is an interesting article a brief breath of fresh air from the usual articles here on Mibba, and you did give out some good points for us "second born" "second placers" and whatnot.
Overall, a nice job, but slightly biased from my own opinion.

Buzz Aldrin is still unforgetable because he was among the first group to land on the moon.
Now I have a question for you. Who was the other guy on that trip?
He's important as well.

Competitions are competitions for a reason. They exist so people can compare themselves to others.
No one really forces people to go on American Idol or Spelling Bees. The individuals choose to compete.

Spoken by a second born child, it's not all you made it seem.
And second president: John Adams

I'm sort of offended by this article. I think it's okay to come in second. Winning isn't everything. At least you tried.
