Cathy Linton: A Look Into One Of Literature's Most Controlling Women - Comments

I dislike Cathy as a person, for all the reasons above, but I love her as a character. She makes such a nice change from the 'typical' heroine. She is not written to make you relate to her, and she's not written to make you [i]like[/i] her. It's such a nice breath of fresh air! :)

This was an interesting article.
I must say that Cathy was not my favorite character in the book, but her conceited nature and temper was a nice way to keep the book interesting.
In the end, though, Heathcliff wins for best character.

I just did an 8 page literary analysis on this book. Most of the paper was on Cathy's self-obsession and how it was a cause for Heathcliff's revenge.
Granted I didn't even read the whole book, I just read a few chapters then just did the whole eight pages on what I gathered haha.
But this article was nice, reflected what I know.

I didn't like her character for all the reasons listed up there in the article. I sort of feel sorry for all those characters that they had to go through some stuff because of her. She made their lives miserable.

To be honest, I hate the character of Cathy.
I love Heathcliff, mind, so I always thought the story would be better if she just never existed xD
I also think she's quite... sexist.
I like this article, it's good, interesting topic, it makes a change from Twilight.
