I love this article! There's not a single part that I don't agree with.
I am ridiculously interested in languages. I come from the North of Scotland and my mum's family speak almost upper-class-like English, while my dad's family speak the local Doric dialect - practically another language.
I constantly switch between proper English and Doric, depending on which side of my family I am with. For example, whereas I would say 'awful' around my mum, I say 'eufa' around my dad. It's almost like being bi-lingual, and I love it!
The use of language interests me so much, that I am applying to study linguistics at university.
    Great article :) x

I'm interested in languages too; mostly words and pronounciations though. Sometimes, when I'm playing a game with my brother's and I'm assuming the role of Sherlock Holmes or something, I just go into the appropriate accent instinctivly. It helps with method acting at lot =D
