1 in 200 teenage girls self harm in America? Wow. In Britain it's more like one in ten, on average there's three self injurers in every form class, which are usually about thirty... and in my form room there were at least five I know of, myself included... I'm not sure that fact is right. Either that or there's a major difference between America and the UK that I was unaware of...

I'm going to make myself unpopular now. I don't particularly support TWLOHA, and I didn't write 'love' on my arm... most of the money they raise goes towards t-shirts so that another little Paramore fan can copy Hayley without knowing what it is to hurt in that way. 25% of their money goes to helping people, and the other 75% goes towards traveling around Warped Tour? How does that help anyone?

For somebody who struggles with many of these issues, then every day is To Write Love On Her Arms day. But I really do encourage everybody to participate in this day. And when somebody asks you why you wrote "love" on your arms, then explain it to them. Don't just say, "It's TWLOHA Day!" That doesn't explain anything.

I wrote LOVE on my left arm this morning, reading this article, and so are all of my friends, and I STRONGLY encourage everyone to as well!!! Comming from somone who's suffered from depression, anirexia, and a chronic illness, I REALLY and TRUELY support finding and curing depression and suicide. I believe it's possible one hundred percent.

At my school, Instead of Saturday, where holding a "Love" day on Friday. If a person wears blue and writes LOVE on their arms, they will receive a free suicide prevention wrist band. A group that I'm in called Tribal Youth Council for Native Americans in my area is hosting it. =D

I wrote an article about TWLOHA on this website as well, but it could never compare to this one. I loved the fact that you used the statistics. You really put the point across. I have suffered from suicidal thoughts and cutting for a long time now. I think it was great to read this and hear what other people think of the organization. Again, good job! Wonderful words of wisdom! Keep on writing, my dear. <3 :]

Amazing article. I really liked this.

Back when I was in junior high, I suffered.. and still am suffering... with depression. Ever since- halfway through my senior year- I've been taking anti-depressants everyday. without help, suicide's going to increase daily.

I even started cutting myself back then for the problems I was having with my father. But, with the help of my friends, I did quit and now I help those who do it now.

Again, awesome article, and I'm definitely participating in this day :D
