I couldn't agree more and it sometimes makes me ashamed to be english because of how most tourists act when they go to other countries and how the treat places. I watch programmes like sun sex and suspicious parents and can't help but wonder what the appeal is of doing such things. Great article.

I can see a lot through your eyes in this article with it being written so personally. I do hope things become nicer there as it does sound like a nice place to visit sans alcohol. :)

This was a great article, but felt it was very subjective and quite opinionated. Was educating though, in a way.

I wish this article had a more objective based to it, like statistics of "balconing", tourism numbers, economics, and comparison to new and older prices for these laws. However, it definitely pulls at my heart strings. This saddens and frustrates me as a college student who would love to travel the world. I understand the government's want to keep good tourism and not just be an oversized bar for wayward college students, but I feel it is an unfair generalization for the rest of college students. It will definitely damper tourism in the area if the city wishes to only lure in "richer" crowds.
