Its all about egos. They refuse to issue something as small as an appology...when someone is so proud they can't admit when they're wrong and have been openly proven as wrong it...its so pathetic!

I cant begin to imagine what he went through...the only reason his case was publicized is because his wife pushed the media to cover the story--amazing woman that never gave in no matter how many doors slammed in her face.

I just feel bad for cases like Omar Khadr...hes just a kid.

You guys should look up Sami Al-Arian. He's still convicted and in solitary confinement while the US admitted that there are no charages that can be lead against him.

Seriously
Sami Al-Arian
is way worse off than this guy. At least this guy was a Canadian citizen...He wasn't screwed so bad. I mean, he got money. Think of all the Arab-American's that are treated like shit.

Seriously all those stuck up politicians need to take their head out of their asses and stop being so fucking stubborn! When will the Government learn that they aren't top of the world and actually admit it whenever they are wrong? God, this makes me ashamed to live in the US *shakes head*

Blaming everyone else for the fault of themselves is really becoming a fashion in politics now-a-days, isn't it?

This is fucking wrong.
A year of his life was spent being tortured, and years before that in jail.
Tortured, for information he simply didn't have, because he wasn't a terrorist.
And our government can't even man up enough to apologize to this innocent man, who has been through so much, because of them?!
I've always been somewhat ashamed of our political and governmental desicions, especially on terrorism.
I mean, I don't think I myself could do their jobs better, but they're trained for this.
The government can't just look at someone who happens to be Arab, or wears a turban, and say "Oh, they look like they might be planning to blow something up! Let's arrest them!".
No.
It's wrong.
And it's not like this is the first time it's happened.
The US govt. just needs to apologize.
He deserves that, a real apology.

Whoever did that should be shipped to the north pole or Antarctica and get beat up by penguins.
It'd be just.
