Wannabefamous, according to my parents and grandparents ever since he took office PA has never had a budget on time. This year I believe was the longest. Yes we do need a new governor but I don't think that anyone is going to replace him anytime soon because it seems the incumbent always wins.

God, that's such a scary situation. The state has a responsibility to make sure its workers can get paid, instead of its government screwing them all over.

It's also going to affect state grants for college kids. All PA state grants will be delayed, and I think that is pure crap! My college says that they will work with us, but who knows if they actually will! I will be very upset on the first week of school if I don't get a refund check so I can get my books. It is also very upsetting about the state workers and fostercare, though. I hope this gets done with sooner rather than later! Something needs to be done!

If I had enough money to fix the whole world, I would.
That's terrible.
Very good article though. Nicely written.

Passing it alone is not enough. Because of this issue, Mayor Nutter has to close polls, rec centers, and cut 1000s of jobs with emergency crews(EMT's, Police). If only the stupid asses in the government would ALLOW him to pass the damn thing! But with those big shots who have loved ones living in Philadelphia that are near the brink of death and nowhere near a hospital, they have no one to blame but themselves since they're the reason those jobs are being the biggest cut.

Wow, this is a pretty scary situation for us Pennsylvanians. I hope they get this sorted soon, but it's probably going to be hard fixing such a large deficit. :(

rendell needs to just PASS the damn thing already!!!!! My dad works for the state and we went about a whole month without him getting paid, which pays most of our bills and necessties. And when he DID get paid, it was less than half and barely did anything. Now, I don't even KNOW if he's getting paid... The state is just screwing everything up. They need to stop being late!!!! They did the same thing last year, only it lasted a day.... (We need a new governor)
