New Jersey Abolishes Death Penalty - Comments

Now the rest of the states need to follow. I wish Texas would get on with it, though it'll probably be one the last states to abolish the death penalty (if at all).

It said about all the pervs out there, I think they should use the experiments of their cures to cancer on them because if they can't be cured their pointless and they've destroyed young peoples lives.

Screw this! I might end up sounding like some crazy person all for killing but hey you know what there's a reason the death penalty was instated in the first place and now that they're taking it away is really stupid (of course this is all my opinion). I mean seriously the reason why these guys are on death row is for committing a very serious crime and yet they don't deserve punishment? Sure it seems that letting them live the rest of their lives in jail is a wonderful thing to do, but its the tax payers' money that keeps them alive in jail because they're not supposed to be starved to death because that's cruel and unusual punishment which is forbidden by the Constitution. I say off them quickly, get it over with. They don't deserve life.

I'm so glad that they abolished the death penalty. I don't believe that the whole "eye for an eye; tooth for a tooth" thing is right. To punish someone for committng homocide, you committ homocide. Huh? Does that make any sense?

I live in Canada, and they never do death penalty, so I'm glad it's like that there now.

Lifelong imprisonment is far worse than a quick and painless death.

Fair enough they ban it. But that bastard doesn't deserve life... Why should he live when he as taken away the life of that girl? He should be killed.

I don't know, this is only one of many possible reasons why prisons get overcrowded...but hey, I'm all for not killing people. Great article.

I'm glad they did this all the other states should do the same. Why give them an easy way out? Let them stay and suffer in prison.
