stupid ppl ... that 12 yr old had sex and got preggo...its her responsibility and why would her parents let her have an abortion and kill that poor baby?!?!?! im 12 yrs old and my boyfriend id 14. if we had sex and i got pregnant i wouldnt kill an innocent baby for our mistakes! its horrible to hear this and im sure that the girl will frow up and realize that she made a HUGE mistake and so will the boy!

You know the youngest person to give birth was FIVE? Oh yeah, and she went through with it too. Somehow. I dunno. I think shes in her 40s now. Anyways. This girl is obviously an idiot. Not that she had sex at such a young age, but more so of other...things. >_> I think the doctors were pretty stupid as well for having to go to court for such a thing. Would you have her go through with the pregnancy and die? She's a child her body couldn't handle giving birth. This is one of the few instances I believe abortion to be the correct action.

i'm pro-life. i don't believe that is there isn't a legitimate reason for the baby to be terminated, then it shouldn't. that's just me, though. however, in a situation such as this one where she was most likely forced into having sex with someone, i believe that abortion should be the right thing to do. also the fact that she's only twelve and her body might not have been able to go through child labor and she could have died. it's kind of a bizarre situation, either way.

I'm not a big believer in abortions, personally, but I am definitely pro-choice.
And I think, in this situation, it's almost necessary to have an abortion, really. A 12-year-old with a baby? somehow it doesn't seem like a grand idea. My little sister is 12. Just, no.
I used to be completely anti-abortion, but I started thinking about it, and sometimes, like in this situation, it's just the thing to do. If you're putting yourself and/or the baby at risk, then is it worth going through with it in the end?
Even in the situation that you just don't want children, I think it would be alright to have an abortion, since how well would you take care of a kid if you don't want it anyways?

Chances are she would have died along with the baby if she went through with the pregnancy. Shes still only a child herself.

I'm not considering her a baby killer because... be honest, the baby would've died anyway. It would have had major problems and always suffer and so would the girl herself. She's 12, that's one thing, and to top that, she's like a six-year-old. I don't know about you, but my six-year-old brother breaks everything and I would not leave a baby in his hands.

I'm not really sure what I make out of abortion though... at my school (private and catholic) they say it's completely wrong, but I believe that in some cases it may be alright. This is one of them. And I agree that a mother should have the right to choose, even if it's wrong, it's her right. I'm not saying I'll agree with her decision but she should be able to. And, a lot of girls who get pregnant really aren't ready. And that baby would have had serious problems if not died, and the girl herself would. Even if the baby didn't have mental issues like his mother, he or she would be scarred for life, having a mother whose only 12 years older than you and is ill... it's overwhelming feelings like that that lead to suicide and cutting. And kids are cruel these days. They'll feed off of any info they can get, making their victim hurt even worse.
