This is why us New Yorkers don't reconize Long Island as New York.

First of all, *recognize
And secondly, excuse me?
..Don't mind me if I'm taking this personally but I'm from Long Island and I consider myself a New Yorker. Not all people from Long Island are like what's presented here, thank you very much. I hate when people generalize like that.

Yes, this is horrible, but honestly? It could have happened anywhere. And not only is the death tragic because of there mere subject of death, but it's tragic to see what people have come down to to save their money.
Really? People are going to die so that you can save some cash? Are you kidding?
This was well-written, by the way.

That's a very good question, who would kill a man and trample a pregnant woman for a quick buck saved?

Who do we blame for it?
Clearly, the physical act is all on the people, but their 'buy, buy, buy!' mindset?
That comes from the system and a lifetime of propaganda.

It's disgusting, seeing as people rampage like that in third world countries for necessity; even in developing nations as such, the act is still looked down upon. Murder for food, death for water and killing for life. Where as we in the americas- revision: The America- resort to similar acts barbarianism to get our greedy hands on what's hot off the shelves.

So much for an advanced society; I am disgusted.

Wow, this is morbidly hilarious.

Who would kill a man, and injure a pregnant lady over a couple dollers off on an item, Jesus.

The poor man.

I wish his family the best.
Way for materialistic bastards, who didn't even try to help him, to ruin somebody's Christmas.

Meryy Christmas assholes!

This is horrible. It seems that some people care more about getting things on sale that will be there all morning than the people around them. It's pathetic.
I also heard a pregnant women was injured too. It's quite sad. And pathetic.

For god sakes we are human beings, not monsters. I would call them animals, but I don't want to insult the animals.
Was a life really worth a good deal?

My mom told me about this. She said another person working at the time tried to help him but she got hurt and was eight months pregnant. Its horrible. The sales aren't worth it at all.

walmart's not even that big of a chain presence on long island. i've never been to one and my mom thinks it's evil and refuses to go there.

there's nothing in any store worth trampling someone to get to. the store needed to anitcipate something like a giant crowd and come up with some kind of system involving security reinforcements to prevent this. hopefully this will be a wake up call to other stores to get it together and not let this happen again.

yeah, i live in NY, yeah i live in long island, yeah this happened the one town away from me. It's really sad, and more scary. No one in my family actually goes shopping on black friday, but it is still scary to know how desperate people are on this day.

I heard about that, but I remember the employee (who was killed) opening the main door and then the shoppers stampeded him. No matter how many shoppers there were, the main door would be impossible to knock down by shoppers alone.
The thought of it alone freaks me out. Sure as hell, glad I wasn't there.

That just proves how New Yorkers are. I mean, how could they not have felt someone underneath them?! Why didn't someone just stop and see if the guy was okay?! Wow. People disgust me. -.- I just moved out of Long Island with my parents because of how rude the people there are and now I'm kinda glad I moved.

Holy snap.
Black Friday is always ridiculous.
Thats why my family that lives around me always stays home and wait till sales come again.
queen.alyss.heart: 8-month pregnant woman got hurt. My sister says that they're crazy for hurting people on accident. Why can't they wait?

And this is why I stay in the comforts of my home on Black Friday. It's such a tragedy that it comes to this over a few bargain prices.

Someone dies by trampling every year on Black Friday. What's worse are the people who bring guns and shoot the other people for bargain deals.
Humour=Walmart doors don't have hinges. They're sliding doors....
