Water pretty much just goes stale and stagnant and tastes disgusting. It's not going to do you much harm, but your tastebuds and gag reflex might not like you for a while...

This isn't all true. I mean... true, water doesn't "expire" per say. But as it gets older, it gets more vulnerable to bacteria and fungi and such building up in it. It will probably take an extremely long time (lets say, two years... though probably much longer), but water wil eventually go bad. Especially if it's been opened.

Ha, they put expiration dates on EVERYTHING these days. I looked at the bottom of my deoderant, "EXPIRES: 6/14/09" How does that expire? Its not even a food product. =p

I think unopened water doesn't harm you either because water that has been opened would taste funny a weird. I really liked this article though. Great job!

    Great article.
Now I know if anyone says they got sick from expired water then they're big fat liars.

Ha, I've never thought of it that way... I mean, I'm so used to expiration dates being on food anyways. But it's weird they even bother to put an expiration date, I guess. Ha, this is making me think too much! THANKS! Now I'm gonna dream about water bottles going bad... lol jkjk...

Bottled water is bad for you anyway. All the crap they put in it and plastic is bad for the enviroment. I think we should do away with them. They sell water bottles at the store for a reason. Buy one, fill it up and on your way you go.

Bottled water is the biggest scam ever.

I always wondered why they put a date on water bottles. And now I know.

    Great article.

V I'm pretty sure it's because the chemicals in the plastic can cause cancer or something.

Weird... I thought it had to do with the fact that it's, well, in a bottle. I don't know though... all I know is you're not actually supposed to re-use the bottles, or at least not more than a few times cause of... I don't know why exactly, but it can be bad for you.
