it sounds nice, but then you get nagged at by parents longer than usual, and that would really suck. Haha, jk. Seriously, it will mess up the balance we have in life, it's actually already being imbalanced BECAUSE of the technology and medicine we have. But the being who created the very beginning named 'god' and the being named 'science' will both put their creations on earth and create more challenging problems for us humans and other life forms to get in our way of advancing onto something like a "slow aging process" so we can't fulfill all of our selfish desires selfish desires :)

I agree with AdolecentSuicide.
If I can do things for myself and still look young, i'm okay.
Also, I think the professor is saying he is slowing down the aging process, not prolonging it. So, when your fifty, you will feel like your twenty or something. With the right math's, you can work it out.

That's rather stupid.
Isn't the planet already enoughly overpopulated? With the life expectancy going up due to better medicine and life conditions getting better every year, even without any treatment the guy would possibly come up with, it is likely that the planet will have serious overpopulation problems not within too long...
some people use their intelligence the wrong way...

Woah! Why the hell should you stop accepting aging? It's part of life, for God's sake!

I'd rather live to my country's life expectancy, thanks.

if you live to 1000, people will be on social security (in the usa) for over 950 years!!!!
no one will be able to work with that. and i think everyone on here has said they don't want to be that old anyway!!!!!
how would you find out what happens next if you had to wait 1000 years??

I do NOT want to live to 1000. I'm not up for 1000 years...that's way too long.
I'll stay with 70, thankyouverymuch.

That would be kind of cool..To live to 1,000.
But maybe 700 for me.
I don't know.
If im old and can't walk and just want to die by then, then put me out of my misery.
But if I'm capable of doing things.
And be who I am then I'd love to live longer.
I want to do a lot of things in this world.
And maybe living longer would be easier to get those things accomplished.
Eh.
Yeah :].

I think I agree with Milky Joe completely. There would just come a point where we would "feel like butter spread over too much bread" (to be totally cliche) but yeah.

Wow...
I'd rather live to 60 and be able to walk and stuff, than live to a thousand and be hooked up to tonnes of drugs tbh!
