I've been writing a school paper on situations like Columbine and Virginia Tech, and then I come along and see this article. Maybe it's because I don't have a TV in my dorm, but I'm surprised I didn't hear about this until now. I feel like it should be everywhere in the news. I feel so sad for the kid :(
That was sad. I was watching the news the morning that came on... and for some reason it really moved me... I really wonder what his motivation happened to be. it is sad for the loss of life that occured.
While the motives are still unknown, we can only guess as to what caused Sam’s tragic end. Some theories include disturbance, mental illness, and severe depression.
Well I think that's just obvious. What stable person would do that?
I liked this article, it was informative, but I really thought the last line:
Whatever the case, it is safe to say that the residents surrounding the area are in more shock than ever. No one could have saw this coming.
-- was just a bit too light-hearted considering the circumstances. Sorry, but yeah... it is a hostage situation dealing with suicide. Could've ended it with a little more... I don't know, empathy? :/
