I've always preferred Neo-Marxist approaches on social control over the standard Symbolic Interactionist and Neo-Functionalist approaches that you seem to present here and as much as I would like to disagree with the content (and therefore present that agents of social control are actually facades that are constructed by the bourgeois to influence the proletariat), I think that for an article written from an opposing standpoint, this was executed excellently.
