My school did a moment of silence.

9/11 was not a war, it was a terrorist attack.

Sure 9/11 was a pretty tragic day but terrorist attacks happen everywhere. But we're just too damn hypocritical and ignorant to even think about others. We commemorate our own terrorist attack yet you never hear of those attacks on others. It's fucked up. We're fucked up.

I don't see the point in a moment of silence. Sure, some people see it as a sign of respect, but it's not going to do or help anything. I think recognizing the day is enough. The hype about it should die down a bit. We don't have to forget. But we don't have to make a huge deal about it anymore.

Your school didn't have a moment of silence? My school says the pledge and has a moment of silence everyday!

    9/11 was not a war.

I'd like to think they're letting the dead rest in piece by letting the hype die down. Too much of the focus on 9/11 is superficial.

    Jews did 9/11.

Honestly Moments of Silence don't help anything anymore.
    But I agree,
    We didn't have one today.
