    That's weird I just learned about the 6 stages of love. Right now all my characters accept for three are in lust. They'll figure that out later (muahahaha?)

    Yeah, my characters still haven't even said it. It just doesn't fit yet and I want to build up the trust.

    You'll usually find the 'I love you' stuff too early in Ryden slash fics.

    I'm coming up on forty chapters on my current story, and the main couple still hasn't said it. I just...don't think they're anywhere near ready for it. They've only been together for a couple of weeks, anyway.

    I agree, though. It always seems like such a cop-out when an author has the main couple saying, "I love you," so soon; like then, they don't have to work as hard to build up the relationship and make it realistic because wah-la, they're already in love! Bah.
