Also, the only problem I have with this picture is that I wouldn't like someone reenacting the death of someone if it was my family member, or my friend. I would be slightly offended, but I don't think it's a huge deal.

I just wonder why they would do it?

That reminds me of the Marilyn Manson video for Coma White, seeing as the video was based off the assassination, and all. <<

I don't get the controversy. Maybe it's because I'm not American, but seriously, the way I see it is that it has been done respectfully and artistically. Art is supposed to be shocking to an extent anyways. I think it's a rad picture.

    cool.
I think that's an awsome picture, but at first I thought 'wtf? Is art meaning another child?' then I saw the picture and was like 'AHH! GERARD'S DEAD!' then actually read the journal. XD

LithiumAndCyanide: So could one of Marilyn Manson's videos which showed the same kinda thing, literally.

Sardonic Grin: I don't remember that bit of Watchmen, I watched it, but I don't remember it.

I'm not shocked about it. I'm not mad about it. I don't really care about the concept of the picture. However, I find that its a very interesting idea.

    It's really beautifully made.
But I can see why people would be offended by it. I'm not, but some people are offended easily.

It would be awesome if it wasn't in such bad taste, and also if I didn't dislike them both so much.
I like the comics, but This just... No.

To be honest, I don't like it very much.

Although maybe that's because I just think it's incredibly unattractive.

People who are shocked or offended over this picture are idiots. They're not flaunting a tragic death like it was nothing, or putting it down or anything like that. It's just they're portrayal of a tragic event.

I personally think it's the most beautiful picture ever taken of both of them. Look Lindsey's expression and the angle of her face, she's a classic beauty. And Gerard, thought he's supposed to be dead has a serene look on his face.

I personally love it, and I think it's amazing.

No more shocking than the Comedian shooting JFK in the Watchmen.
Or Robot Chicken making a parody of JFK shooting, or even Family Guy.

In fact, I think Gerard did something beautiful. While other shows or movies that deal with the shooting often show it from the POV of a spectator, Gerard is making it personal. SHowing it from the POV of Jackie and JFK. The way he looks at her, is bone chilling. I don't know about the way she is looking off into space, but I think that could be the shock. So I get it.

I hoenstly think the picture is beautiful.
