Being a vegetarian, for me, has nothing to do with weight. I agree with Jinxeh. I've been a vegetarian for two and a half years. People who become vegetarians solely for "weight loss" aren't doing it for the right reasons. For me, it's about keeping a healthy diet that would give me the same proteins and vitamins I would get from meat, along with going to the doctors on occasion to make sure I'm healthy...

It depends what kind of meat. I think red meat has more fat than white meat.
I don't eat that much meat and I am quite curvy (but not overweight). My sister loves meat, and it much, much thinner than me.

I'm a vegetarian, and have been for about eight years. That said, I hate PETA with a burning passion.

Honestly, most vegetarians reject PETA the way the gay community rejects Perez Hilton, or how Christians reject abortion clinic bombers.

Meat is great for iron too.
It's all the carbs and fatty foods that are the problem.
Cut you junk food before you cut out meat.

    I agree.
Meat doesn't make people fat. It's the breads, noodles, junk food, potatoes that do. I mean, all that depends on how you prepare them... but still.
Meat is eaten by all kinds of people- skinny and large.
