I remember that day so clearly, though I had been only been 7 [?], maybe 6. We were just finishing school and the teachers I remember weren't quite right... And when I walked through the door at home, my mum was staring at the TV, saying "Oh my God, Oh my God" Over and over. I wasn't allowed to watch it until later that night. And after that... It's just, wow.
And I 100% agree: It shouldn't be forgotten. I was very disappointed with my school today that they didn't mention one thing about it. :|
Jinxeh:Not to insult Pearl Habor. Because it was a tragedy as well, and we should also not forget that day. But that was a Military base. This was a civilian city. No military. There is a slight difference. But that's what I meant.
Fear Friday: I am so sorry for your lost. Do you want me to take down those pictures? I will. I sometimes forget that people on this site have a different feeling for those pictures. It's just weird, I'm sorry. I'll take them down.
This was the first time since the Civil War that we were attacked.
Don't forget Pearl Harbor.
I never saw the Towers in person before the attack. I kind of wish I had, but I was thirteen when it happened, and we never traveled. Kind of wish I'd had the chance, though.
I was in class, too. Desk against the right wall, facing into the center, looking out the window (it was sunny outside; a very blue sky) when the announcement came over the intercom. By the time we found out about the Pentagon my teacher was sobbing, because her cousin worked in the part of the building that the plane hit. (By luck, she wasn't in her office at the time, though.) I was wearing my favorite blue sweater.
