    Thus far I disagree with everything your commenters said. I can't say what I think of the poem overall, as I haven't read it, but wow.

    To anyone who said it was "too long," they haven't read much professional poetry. Hell, Edgar Allan Poe had a poem that was about five pages long! Actually, he had a few of those.

    Poems don't HAVE to rhyme. Usually there does need to be some sort of rhythm or pattern to help it flow, but poems do not have to rhyme to be a poem.

    Sometimes, yeah, cutting lines shorter and things like that adds texture and emphasis.

    As to interpretation...well, I'm not sure what you meant by bluntly written yet, as I haven't read it. But it doesn't HAVE to be made up of metaphors to be a poem.

    All of this depends on how well it's done, which I haven't yet been able to assess, but...meh. Some people said some weird things.

    What was the poem? I'll go check it out.
