If you're writing a fic in which your using the same plot-line and same 'scenes' but you're simply renaming the characters and some of the locations, well...that's not plagiarism, but it's damn near close. What's the point of writing a story, if your basically using a story that exists and only making very minor surface changes?

It reminds me of those bad Twilight fanfics, like Druscilla stated, that are pretty much Twilight with Bella replace by some other girl. It's not plagiarism but it's still not good.

It would only count as plagiarism if you use the same lines and wording. If it's based on something, that in itself is not plagiarism. But if you come the movie and just change the names of things, keep the same words, that's plagiarism.
(There are a ton of Twilight fics on here that use the same exact words from the book, but they just replace the name.)

    I wouldn't think so..
I've read a lot of stories on here that are based heavily on different movies and books, only with different characters and slight plot changes.
My advice would be to ask Dujo or any of the editors. They're the only ones who can honestly tell you whether or not that would be counted as plagarism.
