Just...don't give her the attention over it, act as if she's not changed.

The only thing I can think of is that she's an attention seeker.

V It wasn't even supposed to be a lifestyle. D< People just randomly started it and now it's caused nothing but problems.

And it makes people look stupid because they have no idea that it's really a genre and not a lifestyle choice.

Emo isn't something you can be. It's a type of music. That's it.

V Oh it is. But, it's not really my style anymore so...she can have it. She can be unoriginal like a lot of other people. Following trends does that to you. :P

Nice. xD Because in middle school...people curse SOOOOO much. You'll freak out if you don't like cursing.

    v. That'd be sucky to have someone steal your style. I mean, it's one thing if you and your friend have always had the same style, but if one of y'all changes to fit in with the current trend, I find that just stupid.

XD You hope she's out of her emo phase, and I hope the little sister of a girl I know stops being a 'OMGOSNESS YOU SAID A BAD WORD!' phase before she hits middle.

V I like that. ^^ I just hope it really gets through to her before high school. People will probably be like...ohmygod. >< Terrible.

Skinny jeans and arm warmers are comfortable though. Just I hate wearing such anymore thanks to her. .____.

She wears arm warmers (which are actually mine), wears black nail polish, wears skinny jeans, listens to "emo" music (My Chemical Romance is not an emo group, dumb*ss), basically says she's going to cut herself.

May I just say arm warmers and skinny jeans are very comfortable and black nail polish is pretty? Though I don't really approve of why she's wearing those things, those have always been sort of my style. Well, it depends on the skinny jean- I like the skin tight ones if they're not denim and the looser-but-still-skinny denims. Eh. [/ramble]

Though, I do have to say your friend is quite a dumbass and really needs a reality check. Tell her that there are people who actually cut themselves because it's their only way they know of dealing with stuff (I've gone through this with one of my friends, though her reason for self-harm was really the only way she knew how to deal because of how odd her family would act if they'd learned). Then tell her there are people who kill themselves for the same reason and see if she's still acting stupid.

    [edit]
Suicide is just a really touchy thing with me. The same friend I mentioned above used to talk about it with me a lot before and it scared me shitless.

Omg, I know how you feel. I had a friend that was exactly like that. And she still is occasionally... Um, I don't have much advise, but what I did was just ignored her pretty much and if she still doesn't stop with the emo crap, then confront her about it. She should know that it's only making her look stupid and that it's irritating the hell out of you. Plus a real emo person wouldn't openly admit to that... No way, no how. People say that I'M emo, but I'm not... but honestly, to me it sounds like she just wants attention and she's doing this just to get it =[

Neche_Girl8 I know right? Hence why I was two years ago. xD I was thinking of talking to her tomorrow.

red flag I hate it too. That's why I can't stand being around her anymore.
She is. And she basically is trying to get some major attention. .____.

I absolutely can't freaking stand people who try so hard to act "emo".
I hate the skinny jeans, the music, the everything.
It's starting to get to a point where now it's cool. Your friend is just trying to fit in with some kind of crowd.

emo is so 2 years ago, you need to tell her that. XD Maybe you should take to her, she sounds like she wants attention, there might be a reason for it.

If someone claims they're emo that's a huge sign that they aren't.
