I'm against abortion, but I don't think it should be illegal. Women would juat do it themselves.January 26th, 2010 at 10:36pm

I'm pro-abortion.
It scares me to give birth and technically, if it was murder, it would be illegal.
Plus I don't really want a kid.January 26th, 2010 at 10:11pm -
I had to do something like that for a Uni paper for Moral Philosophy. If you need view points...Don Marquis and Judith Jarvis Thomson.
You could talk about the slippery slope, utilitarianism........If that helps.
I have my essay on a writing site (it's not that great...contradicts at the end), but if you want to have a look for ideas....January 26th, 2010 at 10:09pm -

I'm pro-choice.
You should remember to talk about the scientific aspects to abortion as well as the opinion as they will look for that. You should know your onions on that because if you miss something or produce a warped fact, it may compromise your essay mark.

I'm pro-choice, I think. I don't really agree with having an abortion, because you are killing someone that would be a human being. But I also understand why people do it.January 26th, 2010 at 09:49pm

Isn't pro-abortion when you are in favour of it and would be willing to have one?
I mean, I'm not interested in sex, but if, for some reason, I had to have an abortion, I would not hesitate.
I guess I fit into that category then.January 26th, 2010 at 09:46pm -
Jack_Arcade No problem. (:
Lady Sunshine; I'm pro choice, but obviously their must be some people who are pro-abortion. If not, it would have never been legalized in some countries.January 26th, 2010 at 09:45pm -
Ahm yes but you see for Muslims it's like we believe that a child's soul enters it's body after a few weeks so abortion in Islam isn't like allowed after that. I'm not 100% sure but it's sumthing like thatJanuary 26th, 2010 at 09:42pm

I've never heard of pro-abortion. I don't like that term at all.January 26th, 2010 at 09:41pm

Lovesick Crackhead: most abortions take place within the first 8 weeks of pregnancy when there's no real "baby" to speak of. It's a foetus, not a baby. I don't know where you got this "grinding up bodies" horror story from.
I'm pro-choice. Mother's rights > foetus, simple as. If you put the foetus first, you'd be breaching the mothers human rights, and therefore undermining her as a person, in an extremely cruel way. It is more immoral in my eyes to force a woman through pregnancy and childbirth than it is the get rid of something that is not capable of conscious thought or feeling.
There's an abortion thread in the forums. In the politics forum, I believe. Might be of some use.January 26th, 2010 at 09:41pm -
The only time period I know of over in the u.k is 24 weeks.
False illusions; : That.. is a very good idea. Thankyou (:January 26th, 2010 at 09:39pm -
Well in Islam abortion is allowed if you've been raped and it would affect you seeing that child. But you have a certain time period. I'm not too sure of this but if you want I can find out for you.January 26th, 2010 at 09:36pm

I'm pro-life. I understand why people do it, but i dont agree that they should. it's not the woman's body that the doctor is grinding up. it's the baby's body. from the time it's heart starts beating there is one more life in this world.January 26th, 2010 at 09:36pm

Instead of taking the for and against point of view, try something different?
How about looking at different people in the situation?
Such as..
A sixteen year old girl, her boy friend, her parents etc.
A rape victim?
The father? The mother?
There's so many different people in different situations who consider and go for abortion. Just an idea. (:January 26th, 2010 at 09:34pm -
Thanks for your views (:
lady sunshine:
I'm only doing it because I have taken long term R.S. studys.
Which deals with the matters of abourtion and such.
So I have to do about it..January 26th, 2010 at 09:32pm -
Well, generally there's pro-life, pro-choice, and pro-abortion.
I consider myself pro-choice because just because I wouldn't personally have an abortion doesn't mean I should take the option away from someone else. I don't think anyone has that right.January 26th, 2010 at 09:30pm -
Whoa 0.0
My school won't allow papers on abortion, or for the teachers to speak their views on the subject - they say it is a too emotional and touchy subject.
Anyway, um, did you try Google? That's where I find all of my research for my school essays :] Just make sure that you use more than one source, especially if one of them is a website such as Wikipedia, where anybody can edit the information.January 26th, 2010 at 09:28pm -
I'm completely pro-choice. I think if a woman wants to have an abortion she should be able to. No one should be able to tell a woman what to do with her body.January 26th, 2010 at 09:28pm
I think it's a woman's choice what to do.
