'Plot bunny'- that's only the second time I've heard that term used, ever.
I reckon though that you shouldn't chain yourself to your writing. If you want to experiment and write new things, then do. Personally, I find it's easier to bounce ideas around when I'm working on multiple things, and I can kind of use one story to procrastinate from the others. That's actually the only way I can really trick myself into being productive- by working in the honourable name of procrastination.
