Panic disorder is basically a mental health disorder in which the sufferer has frequent 'panic attacks' over things that seem small to the outside world--I was once completely terrified to go to school. The fear is often physically crippling in the sense that it can literally immobilize you. Signs of a panic attack vary, but I've dealt with nausea, lightheadedness, shortness of breath, and an overall 'bad' feeling. It's really pretty terrible.
