Perhaps if you talked to your real dad about how you feel, he may realize how his absence is affecting you, and change his ways? Doesn't hurt to try, especially since as you've stated you used to be really close. I'm sure he still loves you 100% as much as he used to, but now that he's got a new family, maybe he feels the need to convert his responsibilities and priorities to them.

But maybe you should call your dad, and try and do things with him. You can't say you have no father when your father is alive, despite the fact you don't talk to him or see him often. You can just as easily pick up a phone as he can.
