Tomorrow When The War Began. - Comments

<3 John Marsden is my favorite author and the tomorrow series was the first of his books that I read, he is my hero, he is an amazing author :) I am rambling but I must say the movie trailer was a let down, I was expecting so much more but from the looks of it they have changed the story line quite a bit which scares me because I don't want the tomorrow series to turn into some kind of teen fad, like twilight did or Harry Potter.
The characters are also scare me because like 'Eternity-' said they are nothing like what I expected. I am rambling again.. D:

I've never read the book. Is this a story based on the Rapture, like the Left Behind series? Or is it like a Ray Bradbury thing, where it's a slightly improbable but not impossible future outcome?

Usually I'd be worried about one of my favourite books turning into a movie, but the only thing I'm really worried about is the fact that the characters look nothing like the ones in my head, and I don't want to forget how the ones in my head looked. (But then again, I imagined them so different.)
The trailer looks great. I can't wait for the movie. I've actually got faith in this one, unlike the Twilight ones or anything which just turned me off. (no offence twilight fans... >.>)
