Wow, iI read this again, and the comments. This was never about me, and I don't have a problem with meeting people over the internet. The girl was fifteen, boy nineteen. It was bad news. She got tricked into having sex with him and ended up pregnant, he disapeared, she's stuck with a kid. Just thought i'd tell you how it turned out.

Everyone has a negative attitude towards meeting people on the internet and in certain circumstances I fail to see why. I have met up with a few people I only started speaking to over the internet and they've turned out to be really cool people. You just have to try and work out there personality type while you speak to them online, for example, I spoke to a guy who is 21 and I am nearly 18, we both knew our age difference but it wasn't a problem. We chatted and I saw that he was extremely intelligent, far from creepy or corny, smooth talking, a gentleman and outgoing. He was basically the whole package all in one. I had added him on Facebook to start with so I saw his pictures and what not, after talking for a while we met up. I've met him three times now and we have a laugh. (We are not dating, and we don't want to date) but he's a lovely person. The case you are talking about does sound a little dodgy. If he hadn't of said he 'loved her' then maybe it would be okay, but that just makes it seem as if he is pouring out fake emotions to tempt her into meeting him. He shouldn't have to tempt her, it should be an equal want from both sides. Very long comment :)

Sorry I meant to go further into what I was saying but they wouldn't take my edit.

I think under the circumstances it's not a very promising situation.
You can't say you love someone after that short of time, and on the internet.
I realize that teenagers have the habit of throwing that word around loosely, I really advice you not to spend too much time on this.
Internet dating doesn't really seem all too great either.

Girl should not meet Boy because Boy is more than likely bad news.
