I love that movie. I did cry a bit, but I'm a big cry baby when it comes to movies. I cried at how lonely the monster was.( it's been awhile since I watched it)
Despite the fact that I'm normally not fond of anime, that movie is one of my all-time favorites. Ever.
It's so inspiring and magical, just nothing else can even compare. The movie really tugged at my heartstrings. The first time I saw it was a few years ago, but I never forgot it, and then just recently I convinced my parents to rent the movie online for me so I could see it again. It was definitely worth it.
But the part that amazed me most was how no one else felt the same way as I did about the movie. Sure, they agreed it was strange, but it didn't seem to effect anyone else the way it did me. So I'm really glad I read this journal and that I now know I'm not the only one who feels this way about Spirited Away.
And, omigosh, I just remembered that the ending of the movie inspired me so much that I wrote a story based around a human girl loving a spirit that was a river before it died. The story is posted here, called "Drowning In Love."
