I agree, I think people should sign up to write, actually. Social networking sites are for social networking. Mibba is for writing. But, I think that writing poems/journals/stories is just as fine as writing a story.

The new members should seek to improve, though, and I don't see a lot of that. Usually, they get offended when you correct their grammar or tell them they should make their layouts more readable.

Just because it's a writing site, doesn't mean every single member has to write. It's their choice. As long as they are following the rules of the website altogether, then they're fine. There's no rule stating you have to write to stay on this website.

People like fanfiction. Why does everyone bring this up? If you hate it so much, write an original fiction yourself. You don't have to read them if you don't like them.

I was just thinking the same thing as I looked through the stories tab. I found like, five layouts that are neon green background with neon blue or pink writing. I immediately clicked the back button. :3

I definitely agree about the everyone starts somewhere thing.
But maybe if someone is new to Mibba, they should seek out an older member for advice or to edit or something? That'd be kind of cool, I think.

You have to realize for one this is the internet and that most people on here are like 13 year old girls with issues.

So what else could you really expect?

No offense to anyone on here, but it is true. However there are some who are truly talented writers and fun people to talk to. The rest just ignore them, it's that simple.
