The only manga I reccomend is Yu Yu Hakusho, because it's the only one I actually read and I have loved the story and characters for ten or so years.

Oh yeah, and Maximum Ride by James Patterson is really good. It's about this group of kids that were genetically enhanced to have 2% raptor genes in them. So they have wings and really great sight and stuff. They are also destined to save the world. It's intense, and the characters are really well done.

Read the Chaos Walking trilogy. It's AWESOME. I forgot the author, but look it up. It's really hard to explain because it's like nothing you've ever read before, and totally original.

Also, read Bloody Jack, by L.A. Meyer. It's about this girl in 1800 england who, in order to save her life gets a job abord a navy vessel and pretends to be a boy. It's like...mny favortie story of all time, and there is a whole series.

Unwind by Neal Shusterman is pretty great. Sci-fi. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins is really good.

I just made a mega-journal the other day with all my favorite mibba stories. You're bound to find some stuff to your liking in there. (:

The Perks of Being A Wallflower is pretty amazing.
Lullaby by Chuck Palahuink (I probably spelled that wrong) is super good.
